staznesV: Gateway to an Alternate World

OOC: the taiwanese aren't even on japan ;p, and the sea are everyone's friends but yours. u haven't been worshipping the polar bears enough tyrion :D

We offered the taiwanese groups an alliance but none seem to have wanted one... still we can work with one of them to defeat the rest.

You didn't offer me it.

Spoiler Tyrion only :
I would agree to an alliance IF you leave our island alone. And then... well, if you agree to that gesture of peace, then I do have some plans for the future of the Japanese-Taiwanese alliance.

actually, the Mori occupy a very small pocket of land between the Fuzhou and Shao-li factions. Neither is destroyed.

Um? But surely our attacks would have pushed the Fuzhou and the Shao-li factions towards the coast by the time of the Mori landing OR if they landed early we would havfe pushed them at the enemy swords, so to say?

We are intrigued by your recent innovations and discoveries. Never before in our wildest mind had the idea that those puny moths could lead to these (possibly finest) fabric you currently possess. Anywho, to get to the point, what say we create an Oligopoly among you, me and fuzhou? It's impossible to keep this as a monopoly for you since we have the resources at hand too.

What are you talking about? What moths making our silk fabric? It is a secret given as a gift from the Gods to our glorious High Lord to congratulate him on his Glorious 1000th Year Reign over the Shu Imperiate. To say that mere insects create such a glorious fabric fit for the Gods is blashemphy and sacrilege!

No, His Majesty the High Lord refuses to create a "oligopoly" with Yan over a product that is exclusive to Shu.

OOC: really, i asked azale about how you would produce silk even though he was his normally unhelpful self sending me avatars of all kinds...

OOC: i'm pretty sure the material isn't native only to your territory though... The trick is getting the material to weave with, isn't it? and since those moth are found widely in china, this isn't a problem

OOC: *shrugs* try it then, we'll override you with our fancy merchant tricks :D

OOC: doesn't it make sense to have an oligopoly though? we alone control the prices and we can raise it by alot, rather than compete with each other and drag it lower and lower...

OOC: the High Lord is a very vain and arrogant person, and would say u didn't have to make it in the first place :p

From Mori:
Very well we will withdraw. If possible we would like to set up a food trade agreement until our people stop starving.

From: Taiwan
To: Mori

Excellent. As a sign of good will, we agree to your suggestion.

Thank you.

From: Fuzhou Faction
To: Mori

Good riddance.

weee, spotlight special for my next update...but who will it be on...

Didn't the Fuzhou general die or something?

(And I still am outraged you didn't do my attacks. Give me a bonus economy or something at least in compensation!)

das, I wouldve done your attacks if Mori had not specifically ordered to kill YOU first ;)

Whatever - Taowang ISN'T dead. And he sure as hell would not have sent help to Fuzhou and Shao-li against the Moris if he had a chance to finish off Shao-li earlier that way. So I think my attacks still should have carried out. Or, at least, our participation in the attacks on the Mori beach head should be cancelled (so none of our casualties, and less of other faction success).
