Stop invading Norway or face VIKING GROIN-STOMP ATTACK on fat Dane head!

Um, Toteone... Groin-stomp attack on a head? That's rather... shall we say unvikingly?

ok stats done, now some talking

NEW RULE: Wonders cost NOTHING now. Ive been thinking of changing this rule, because as NK has noticed, if wonders cost ecos they become rather useless as wonders.

We each have our own set of problems. Your on your own.

From: Tuetonia
To: Winterfell

Would you be willing to assist us incase the Kievans or Sarmatia decides to invade us? These raging hordes must be stopped!

To: the Manchus
From: Yan

The history between us is long and bloody. We have been enemies for the longest time, but the end is near now. We have defeated your proud people in the battle of ShanHai Gate, and conquered much of your land. At the same time, you are threatened by the mongols to the north. If this continues, there are two fates awaiting your people. Slavery or Death. We are offering you a third option. If you're willing to surrender to us, we'll offer you the following conditions:

-A marriage(s) between the Yan crown prince (or a princess) and your fu chin (princess) or prince.
-With the marriage(s), the Manchu population will be treated as equals because to discriminate them is to insult the royal blood. The Han and Manchu will be one family.
-Our military will be merged, so we will help you against the mongol threat, as well as offer protection against other nations
-You will be able to live the same lifestyle, but with the added convenience of our technology and tools.

We await your reply.

To Teutons:
From Sarmatians:
Who are you calling rampaging hordes? Just because we are ruthlessly efficient in destroying our enemies, don't tolerate civil resistance, and are amused by putting the citizens of hostile villages on wooden spikes, doesn't make us rampaging hordes. Do not forget that you, too, took part in overrunning Borie Rus. Uninvited, for that matter.

To Winterfell:
From Sarmatia:
*Secret*You stand to gain more from allying with us against the damned Teutons then you do from standing against us. One way or another, the Teutons will be defeated; choose wisely what side you are on when that day comes. You have a simple choice in front of you: land, wealth, and glory, or defeat, death, and damnation.*secret*

OOC: Can't remember the last time I used *secret* tags.

hmm, this stranger occurance might be because i havnt updated them yet :)

Are diplos to barbarians allowed/possible? if not then just dismiss my post above...

yea you are, but the manchus decline your offer

sigh, guess i'll have to take their land the hard way...

Orders for Yan:

-grow economy by joining the silk trade (thx, alex ;) )
-continue campaign against the Manchu by pushing east (toward the koreans). Take care to avoid the mongols to the north (so don't expand any more north than what i have currently). Place 1/3 of army (so about 300 troops), at the most north-east tip of my territory, and have them harass the manchus, but not advance into their territory. Their job is to distract the manchu. At the same time. have the remaining 2/3 of the army (about 700) troops to advance along the coast then move north east along the korean border before turning back and regrouping with the remaining 1/3 of the army. When moving, send scouts ahead to look for the enemy first. Once spotted, they will either lead them to a forest or wait in a forest to ambush them. Cavalry should be much less effective when fighting in a forest.
-Continue expanding west (from the Huang He river) with whatever's left of my army (500?).

We assume that, since you have deigned to remain silent on this most pressing issue, that you do not disapprove of a naval expedition through the Bosphorus into the waters beyond by Spartans. The apparent lack of interest from your Empire has led us to believe that you do not consider this enough of an issue to matter. Sparta may not be the strongest member of the Alliance in numbers, but we don't take kindly to being ignored. We joined as an equal, not a subordinate, and want to be treated as such: meaning that we'd like our questions answered by the Most Exalted Envoy of Imperial Byzantium, if you please.

We didn't see your diplo. You are allowed to pass thru the Bosphorus.

@Azale

If i have a trade route with Shu, and Shu have a trade route with Fuzhou, do i still need to pay the same 3 eco levels to set up a route that already existed?

We apologize for our loss of temper, and the wandering of our previous messenger. It appears that he wandered into a Theban pleasure house, and partook in some of its unique delights. Afterwards, he ended up marrying one of the employees, and is currently living in Thebes with five small children. (OOC: HINT really weak story HINT Azale  )

Azazele, are the stats updated yet?
