The Bharut Tale: The Demon in Bheema
Brother we must prepare said Bheema, his eyes seemingly glowing with lust
Prepare for what Bheema? said Arjuna, who was taken a back by the strong rage emanating from Bheema what happened to your head Bheema you are bleeding!
Bheema put a hand to his for head and then pulled it back, seeing small drops of blood on his hand. He looked at his nails and blood was under them, he had been clutching his head so hard he had made himself bleed. But the visions he had, they were so vivid, so real, so horrible. The flames had been everywhere, all over him, all over his kingdom.
Brother it was terrible, the flames, they
they consumed all!! All things brother! screamed Bheema as he shook.
Peace my brother, peace tell me of your dream Arjuna said soothingly, trying desperately to calm his brother.
NO, no peace! Never brother it is my turn now, Yudhishthira and his peace and righteous be damned! War! Fire! I shall burn our names into the earth and carve it into the heavens!
Bheema what is this you speak of! What has come over you, please my brother do not do this, war is not the answer
No! you are wrong, we must have war, it is the only way to survive! We must survive the fire by conquering it! And spreading it to all corners of the world!
The Bharut Tale: The Demon A Rises
Arjuna stop upon the precipice before the small Bhoja village. Sadness clung to him like dew on early morning grass, fear slipping through his mind as he looked onwards. He did not want to attack these peaceful people, especially not in the was Bheema had told him, but his brother had seized power, as was his right.
Wind ripped and snagged his riders cloak as he stood in the dark night. Small campfires flickered off in the distant village. This night would be such a night, painted red to grace dawn. The crunching of pebbles woke Arjuna from his thoughts and he immediately drew his bow up to face the stranger, but it was Bheema who stared back at him with cold eyes, ignoring the arrow in his face.
it is time Bheema said, before turning and getting ready to walk back to the encampment.
Brother please, is there no way to stop this madness? pleaded Arjuna as he lowered his bow, and without even so much as a glance back Bheema answered
I have saddled your horse; we ride tonight, with or without you
With that he walked off, leaving Arjuna to contemplate his words. Arjuna took a deep breath and followed his brother towards the encampment. He wondered what demon had possessed Bheema to become so violent.
He slung his bow over his shoulder and then mounted his horse, riding up to meet the rest of the men, who were now forming up in their ranks. Bheema rode before them and turned, his eyes checking each face.
On this night begins the Bharut legend, and all Ye who come forth with me now shall be that legend yelled Bheema over the horsemen we shall unleash Sheva herself onto these weak pathetic fools! We shall be Sheva incarnate and in fires we shall throw all those who would oppose u, all those who would protest us, we shall slay!. On this night the rivers shall run red with their blood and I do not speak of slaying for freedom, nah! I speak of slaying for glory! To have our names so far dug into history that Brahma himself could not remove us. Now ride with me, ride to the river until the red dawn!
Cries and cheers rose up from the men as they lifted their weapons high. Then, with another cry they leapt forward and charged towards the village, Bheema in the lead and Arjuna following at his side.
ooc sheva is the goddess of destruction
EDIT- Bheema is now the leader instead of Arjuna
