Stevie Nicks - Edge of seventeen

Rumors is one of the greatest albums ever made. Definately in my top30, if not top20.

Who refers to Stevie as "this girl"?

You can look up the lyrics online. It's got feeling to it songs like that. Whole lot crap came out of the 80's but overall I'd take it overall above the Mandy Moore's, Britney Spears' & Beyonce's of today.

Its a reference to Tom Petty. She and Petty did a duet on the album, "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around".

He was a kid that was making waves in the rock scene of the 1970s. Stevie asked his wife how they met, and the reply (southern accent) sounded like "The edge of seventeen." Its just one reference. There are also references to the death of John Lennon, and possibly of Stevie's personal experince witnessing a death. The white winged dove is a soul taking flight.

BTW, it isnt from "Rumors", which is a great album in its own right. The song is on "Bella Donna".
