Still getting science from pillaging. Probably culture too

Playing my first game after the patch and the hard fix is Rome. I just pillaged a newly built campus, and received a big boost in science. I thought aside from playing as Norway, all pillaging of campuses etc. is now supposed to bring in only faith and gold?

no, pillaging of mines and plantations etc give faith and gold

Districts still do science and culture. Improvements shouldn't.

It is stated in the patch notes that districts can still provide science and faith when pillaged, which makes sense and is difficult to abuse, since you have 1 campus/theatre square per city. They removed the science and culture from plantations and mines for all but Norway.
