Burgundy
Dijon, Burgundy
As field generals of the Burgundian Army sat, they anxiously awaited the arrival of Supreme General Louis. When he did come, the crowded room felt a hush go over it. Louis walked to the cedar podium with the large map of France behind him. He began,"Soldiers, today is the day youve been waiting for. The day youve been training for. Today is the day you begin what will be transcribed in the history archives as the Reclamation!" Louis grabbed a crude wooden stick, with which a sharp piece of sword material was fastened to the end (a pointer in other words), and stepped off to the left of the podium to illustrate his point.
"Soldiers, today we begin the invasion of Provence"
"The invasion wont be easy" Commander Louis surveyed the field generals, some were shaking from nervousness, while others had grins covering thier faces. Louis asked for another map to be placed on the board beside him
"As you can see, there are three prongs of attack each with 300 Burgundian men.
The first prong is based from the capital Dijon and will be the first to engage the enemy most likely. It will also fight the largest battles and encounter the stiffest resistance in all likelihood. Now listen closely men, the important information is coming. You will head out from your base in Dijon, and march south for the border village of Provecana. Then you will pierce the border of Provence itself and head for the town of St. Lyon where you will restock, although I do not want my offices to hear of any uneeded cruelties or misconduct. From St. Lyon, head to the village where you are very likely to face a sizeable force, if you havnt aleady by this point. Take Digne at all costs, and once you do wait for further commands." The field generals talked amongst themselves quietly until Louis began again.
The second prong will come from Montpellier. First they will head inconspicuously north. Then they are too head sharply to the right and charge the Provence town of Bollene. From there they are to wait for the command to help either the Dijon Prong or the Corsican Prong. Louis takes a short pause to sip a glass of tea, and begins again.
The third and final prong will be from Corsica. The entirety of the Burgundian-Navarre Royal Navy will ferry them to the capital of Provence at Marseille. They will likely engage the Provencial Navy, which they are ordered to fight until the troops can be unloaded safely.
And then, with his briefing done, Louis left the room and headed for Montpellier.
