History
Exactly where the nordlandians came from is not known. It is believed that they lived somewhere around modern Sweden and that they migrated for unknown reasons. For several years they were living in small villages or tribes but one man, Harald Ljushår, united the immigrants and locals living around the ending of the Rhein river into the nation of Nordland. The city of Flodheim was built and farming and fishing started along the river and along the coast. It didn´t end there however, as the King ordered an expansion towards the east and that the army to be enlarged for the security of the new nation.
Religion
The Religion of Nordland is inspired by the religion in Sweden but still unique. If it was this that caused the large immigration is however unknown.
The main gods are the sisters

-Natt - godess of war, of the night and of death
and
-Twingeth - godess of sexuality and fertility

Macedonia was on two continents, the economy was flourishing, the evil Greeks had been assimilated into the Kingdom, and a large alliance was forming. So everything was happy and peaceful in Macedonia right? Wrong.
Everywhere you look, there was foriegn powers. To the east, the newly discovered Byzantium Empire, to the west the Great Empire of Rome, to the South the trading empires of Phoenicia and Egypt, and North the mysterious kingdoms of the Slavs. To combat any aggression the Macedonians have been able to mold a large and powerful alliance with its neighbors. To protect one of its flanks, diplomats are sent to Byzantium for an offer to join the grand alliance of the Aegan.

The Scythians had expanded well, yet the people were poor. The land was literally becoming crap, and more fertile soil was needed. A proposal was made to go north to the rich grasslands.
