Coast Salish Orders:
- Spend tax Credit to build road outlined in Red (If cannot build in a turn, tell me)
- Start urging people to join the military, with the goal of raising 1,000 more Archers and Warriors
- If Nations to North and South agree, start trade routes with them.
- Expand on land as shown by arrows on land, again, mostly along Rivers and such
- Send ships with Settlers and Soldiers where Arrow indicates to the North, settling the rest of those islands, and establishing a colony on the mainland, past the Chinook.

Stories:
1 - Chief Esquimalt was please with the progress of his nation. He was immensely proud of the road that has been build as the Gods stated, and he was very, very pleased at the city that had been build, abbording to the Gods instructions, of course. He has also toured the Islands, and congratulated the Settlers for their success. The colonies were doing very well, they were inhabiting some very, very fertile land, and the chief knew that these colonies would grow, and prosper.
But Chief Esquilamlt was not completely satisfied. He knew that the Gods were pleased, and he was pleased, but he needed to do more. He had another plan, for another road. The first road was a complete success, people from the villages along the coast were able to easily go from village to village, and he could tell that they were prospering. They were able to talk, to share idea, and Esquimalt was getting some good ideas himself. He had plans, to build temples, more temples, to the Gods, once his villages and Cities were expanding more. He also had plans to start coordinating his people's efforts to grow crops. Currently, they grew some crops, local types of vegetables which were natural, but he wanted to see more of that. But Esquimalt would need to talk to the Gods first, and it was not time yet. For the more immediate future, Esquimalt knew what needed to be done. With the success of his first road, he needed to build another one, this one, between his 2 cities. He knew that this road would be very beneficial to his people, and he knew that it would increase trade within his nation, as well as making it easier to have his soldiers ans sttlers go and expand his nation. Chief Esquimalt also knew that he needed to have more forces. So he took a trip around his Tribe, to see how people were doing, and to encourage them to join his army. He thought that he needed about 2,000 more troops, 1,000 each of warriors and Archer should do. Yes, that would be quiote sufficient. Also, he needed to expand his tribal lands. The Chinook to the North, and the Clatsop to the South were expanding, and he needed to so as well. yes, he knew what he needed to do, and he would do these things, then talk to the Gods about his ideas for growing craps, and more temples.
2 - Strong Salmon (SS) came out of his dug-out home, and stretched. He was a young man, no more then 20, and he was livingon the new colony, on the Island of the Salmon, or so his Chief called it. Ahh, the Chief. Strong Salmon remembered the Chief's recent visit fondly. In fact, it had been the Chief who sent Strong Salmon, and his family, here in the first place. At first, SS was wary.
"Why should we go there?", he asked his father.
"Because the Gods said that we should, and the Gods always know best", his wise father counselled.
Now SS merely accepted this as fact, but, that was until Chief Esquimalt started changing the Coast Salish Tribe. SS had always thought that the Chief was a good person, and did the best for the Tribe, but he had always seemed slightly . . . well, unchanging. But now the Chief was sure changing things up. In fact, rumour has it that the Chief was regularily conferring with the Gods, and spent most of his time travelling to villages and towns to make sure that the Tribe was doing ok. And, that was easier now, due to the Road that the Chief had built. In fact, not even the Chinook to the North, or the Clatsop to the South had roads as fine at the Coast Salish road. It was truly amazing, or so SS had heard. He had seen it being build, and had marveled at baeutiful way that the stones had just kind of fit themselves together, it was truly amazing. And the colonies that the Chief had orders built. Those were spendourous. But there was still something lacking, or so SS felt. He knew of the Gods, and thought opf them, but he really didn't know much about them. he felt that he needed to have a way of communicating more directly with them.
Another thing that SS thought could be improved were the houses. Currently, the people lived in these, well holes in the soil, propped up with trees. They were comfortable, but not very proper. SS had an idea of using the trees to build houses above the ground. Well, maybe the Gods would inform this to the Chief. Another thing was that SS was tired of salmon. Sure, they were tasty, but they got tiring after awhile. SS also ate some wild fruits and vegetables that grew, but those were hard to find, and he only ate those when he could find them. he wanted more of those vegetables, and on a regular basis.
SS had talking to his father about some of these things, but his father said that he was a young man, and would realize that the Gods and the Chief would tell them what to do. SS agreed. Things went by as usual for the next few months for SS. He found a wife, and got blessed in a ceremony, and started having children. He had 3 children before he heard of the great news. The Chief wanted to have a bigger army, and was looking for young men to join! SS, who was always wanting to travel, and see more of the places, eagerly joined up! He made sure that his wife was ok to look after his children, then went to serve his nation!
. . . more to come later.
Diplo:
To the Chinook and the Clatsop,
From the Coast Salish,
We send greetings to your nations, and we come in peace. We are sorry for interrupting your trade route, but would you be interested in starting another one, between all of our nations? We all have fine goods that we would like to trade for, and this would benefit all of us. What do you have to say?
