Update IT 1 Part 3 1025 BC - 1000 BC
Domestic Events
The Mekaians decide to end their civil war. Not with wepons mind you, but by appeasing the victor, the Koleth. The old Koleth corp is allowed to live in the old Mekong province free of charge, and were given the throne, titles, riches. This appeased them enough not to fight, but to be lazy and live in prime Mekong land. Wjem the time came for them to go back into service, they scoffed at the idea and went on with their lazy lives. Not all news was horrendusly bad, although with their horrible road systems that cannot possible supply their vast territory, the treasury strains. (-1 spending point next turn only) Besides this, promising tyoung intellicts and old mystics were asked to think of new inventions. They came up with this thin stuff you can write on. Some old coot called it paper.... Also they try to sacrifice an economical level to raise more ships and the like, but it is halted do to strains on the economy.
In China the war takes a turn for the better than for the worst then for the better again..... Not much of anything Domestic anyhow, except for a large portion of the River people in the West are eager to join from protection against the barbarians. (-1 Infrastructre)
Somebody in India got mad and decided not to do anything, he actually quit his job rather suddenly...(-Tharia)
The Massagetes make HUGE gains on all fronts thanks to their horsemen armies. Although they are disputedly the strongest millitary in the world now that Guntra is gone, they are inept at ruling the people. The vast amount of people now under their borders demand a more centralized state, stronger Infrastructre, and mroe Education. Because of theese problems, the newly conquered lands don't add much to the total worth of the Massgetes, so they are poor as as result of the war.
(-1 Economy Level to Massagetes)
In the South, a new Nation decided to spring up, Vijayan Sinhalia. They have taken conjtrol of Sinhala and some islands to the West and have a small foothold on mainland India. The future looks promising for them.

Millitary Events
The Mekaians increase their navy quite a bit and send them on all sorts of expeditions. In the NorthEast they discover the Hong Kee. They are a semi-small, prosperous mercantile nation. But theese expeditions where long and hard on the ships. They established contact with some tribes in the south and sailed up river, only to find more barbarians. No expansion occured however, most likely because of Home problem. The overstretched millitary had a hard time keeping barbarians out, who still have their leaders because of lazy Koleth. One city was sacked and destroyed in the West. Something needs to be done about this...
(-4 Mekaian ships, -3 Mekaian Hundreds)
In China the war is mostly uneventful, except for some goodies.
The Qi far outnumber their counterparts, although they were very cautious theese years. They have over half their army protecting against barbarians from the North who didnt really come, at least not yet. They launch an attack into the East which drives the Yue out of their desecrated capitol and out of the Shandong. Not many attacks are sent South though. And since Qi and Qin are at peace, the Qin lost most of Qi-held Qin lands to Yue.

crazyeyes: ) Their millitary is small and out of place, the Qin homeland is in utter ruins and controlled by Yue. The remaining Qin soilders head East and put the Yueish capitol under seige.

In India the war against Guntra finally comes to a halt. In 1011 BC the Massagete army broke through the Southern defences and stormed the Guntran capitol. For 2 weeks, the soilders plundered the temples, desecrated the librarys, raped the women, killed the cattle, sacked the treasure. The Massagete army couldnt spread their spoils of war West because of no roads. So the Massagete economy took a beating. In the South the Tharains made little gains, getting beaten to the capitol AND the trade center in the East. The Tharain government resents this and is now not on the greatest terms with the Massagetes.

The Babylonians have lost their Southernmost city to flooding. Their millitary didnt grow as much as hoped, but did increase somewhat. It was enough to capture most of the more or less peaceful Iranian barbarians an come closer to Persia, actually sharing a border now.
(-3 Babylonian Hundreds -1 Bowmen Hundreds)
Rasit has recently decided it didnt like New Hatti. It sent its massive army with it's Elite training through the well-built Hatti roads. It was loosing barely any men until in got to the capitol. The Rasiteans had brought no heavy seige equipment, because it would slow down their speedy army. Their army was massive, but with no seige weapons the Rasiteans would take serious casaluties. If they waited for the seige weapons, the Western Hatti army would arrive and possibly hold out. The commanding officer had to act fast; and he decided. Hatti would fall on that date, January 1118 BC. The fight was long and brilliant, but in the end the Rasiteans took their well-earned victory. The Hatti army soon surrendered at this news; the Rasiteans killed every single one.
(-21 Rasitean Hundreds, -Hatti)
In the South, Egypt and Phoenicia finally agree to peace. Their nations are in ruin with widespread chaos.
Thessalians, Calabrians, Morrocans, Carthiginaians, the whole lot! All in the Spotlight(Which I actually did mind you!

"And we thought the barbarians where dead..."
-Poor Morrocan soilder at the battle of Casablanca circa 1105 BC
In 1109 BC the ships from Carthage set sail. One for Calabria; One for Morroco. Each carrying the same message: War.
The Morrocans had men on their borders. The border between Carthage and Morroco was the most fought over in the entire conflict. They had relatively the same men. And each time one would atack the other, it would lead to a stalemate. No one won a decisive victory on the border until almost a year after the war boats had set sail. A small detachment of Numidians snuck behind the Morrocan line. When another battle destined to be a stalemate began again, and when the Morrocans turned to retreat, the Numidians were there. Only about 100 in number, the Morrocans still didn't dare retreat, for they heard 1 Numidian could kill 10 Morrocans. Then the Carthigians showed up. The Morrocans were smashed then and there will relatively few Carthignian casaluties. The Carthiginains advanced.
While this border fight was happeneing, the Numidians stepped their raids and taking of the land. Finally at 1107 BC, a few months after the Carthigian victory at Ruliji, they were but 30 miles from the Morrocan capitol. They waited until the Carthiginans had completed the counqest of Morrocan Spain with their new Dragon Guard until they acted. A combine Carthiginian-Morrocan force of over 4 thoudsand soilders advanced on the capitol. The guards were said to have fought for 12 hours before succumbing to the allied force.
While this was going on a small amount of Dragon Guards and Carthignian regulars stormed the Balerics.
In 1108 BC the Carthigians attacked the island of Sicily. They took Sicily the city itself in a clever way. A large caravan of 'wine merchants' who were in fact Dragon Guards, went into the city selling cheap wine for the Defenders of the Republic. After the soilders were literally drunk off their asses, the Dragon Guards let the regulars in and took the city. The Carthigians then surronded the remaining Sicilian city and took it with sheer numbers.
It was a differnt story on Sardinia. Even though the Calabrians had heard of the Morrocan surrender just a month earlier, in 1103 BC, the Carthigian Dragon Guard and some regulars attacked Calabrian held Sardinia. The Calabrians were determined to keep Carthage from getting yet another smashing victory. The Calabrians attacked first with their La Legioni, a match for a Dragon Guard. The Calabrians came out victourious and kept their island. The Carthigian plan to attack Corsicia fell through as they thought they'd take Sardinia.
The Thessalians put up a valiant defence in face of the Calabrian counter attack to retake Cartazzero, but with their inferior training and after a 3 month ordeal, the Thessalians in the pass surredered. The Calabrians were finally getting some good news in this war. And to help this, the Thessalian attack on the Dalmations failed utterly, being outnumbered 3 to 1 by La Legioni. They soon found their ships had been destroyed by the superior Thessalian navy though. So they decided to attack Thessaly and live off those lands, which proves effective even now, the Calabrians captured Ionia.

Mod Notes
Contempt doesnt really have all of that land under his direct control. He has formed a light alliance with most of those steppe peoples.
The Sinhalese don't know how far North Decca (light blue) extends, so that is why they have no Northern borders, their extent is not yet known.
Broken or roads that don't connect on the map are ones destroyed by war. Eyecandy really, easier to build roads on the ruins of another.
