Swiss it aint going to work. I have spent the morning trying to convince CT that she should allow one of us to post the update. It aint going to work. If any of us do it she will ban us. MjM is going to PM all of us the update and then he will post it when he gets off ban.

That would be against the spirit of the forums. I personally think this rule should be bent for the update, however if Chieftess doesnt allow it, we cannot do a thing and must be forced to wait until our somewhat banned friend returns from the outlands of non-posting.

Running a game, or any other forum event does not give one special privledges on this forum.

Hey at least you guys got mentioned in the update - all my research into bronze age trade in the indian ocean for naught apparently. At least the map indicates I did some exploration...

So how long till MjM gets back and gives us some stats?

@MjM- Good update! A couple of problems through:
1) What happened to my colony on the north end of the Adriatic? It just disapeared for no bloody reason!
2) Why did I loose 13 hundreds when all of my regular troops were stationed in S. Italy, none of them where in Thessaly, I also only apparently fought in two (judging by mine and Dalmatian gains) so why the large loss of troops?
3) I was supposed to found a city on the Bay of Biscay, not just expand to it. I need that city for future trade, exploration, yada yada
4) Why did my troops defect? They were only stationed in Dalmatia for a month, it wasn't like they were there for years. My campaign was a lightning strike campaign, which means my troops were only stationed there long enough to distract the Thessalians away from where they would strike.
5) Why did so many other join in? I get Athens, but why the others? As I said, the campaign was lightning strike. All in all it took 3-4 months, not nearly enough time for an ancient country across the sea to mobilize and ship out. Also, the others, in particular the Egyptians, would have had to wait for the fall and winter to pass in order to set sail. The Mediterranean was notorious for being bad sailing during the fall and winter. I mean, between the time it would take to get the information, mobilize the army and navy, and to ship out to Greece, it wouldn't even matter if they had to wait for fall and winter to end, the campaign would be over.
6) Along with number one, this is my biggest. Why does Carthage still control land/a city on the east side of the Ebro?! According to our peace deal I was supposed to get that, I did hand over hy part of he deal, so I expect to recieve my part from him as well.
Other than that, it was a great update. I guess I really should have expected the Dalmatians to unite together rather than join me and the Athenians to jump in. All in all it didn't come out to bad, but a couple of those things I mentioned just make absolutely no sense to me.

How do you get beat by a bunch of uncivilized barbarians whom you outnumber? Why, I shall tell you. Tactics and planning, both of which worked to my advantage (although I took more losses than expected because apparently your army refused to engage my own army, and stayed in your walls. A pity, since I had deliberatly sacrificed many men in a foolhardy attack on the wall just so that your army would be drawn out into more even open battle).
