stNNES VI: A New Fantastic Point of View

The marriage of Goluamnor, the man-king, and Sendriel, the Elf-queen of the Sea, was an unprecedented breach of protocol. The Kingdoms of Men refused to send a single envoy between them all, and the Kingdoms of the Elves went so far as to disown Sendriel completely. The birth of children created an even greater uproar. The first of their children was murdered at the hands of a courtier of Goluamnos, and the second succumbed to illness in suspicious circumstances. But the third, Rand, lived, and prospered, growing tall and strong on the land his parents had bought at great cost.

Goluamnor and Sendriel watched as war raged throughout the world, and did nothing; for nothing was done for them. Until one day when a small band of warriors came to their home, seeking refuge. From a distance they looked like beautiful men with fair features, perhaps Notherners. But as they came closer, they saw. The warriors that approached were like Rand. They were half-elves.

There were no more than one hundred of them, and they all looked emaciated and on the brink of collapse. Sendriel brought them all in, and sat them in her great dining hall, making a delicate yet fulfilling elfish meal for them all. After they had revived themselves, she asked them about who they were and what they wanted from her home. They told her about wars of elves and men. And they told her of the perils of the Half-elfish race. Men hated them and beat them in the streets, and elves would not even acknowledge their existence. The tyrrany of all sides was suffocating all those whose parents had "sinned."

Sendriel was moved by their stories, and brought Goluamnor and Rand to the warriors and spoke about their trials. Rand was moved to action, and led the soldiers to the mouth of the Nameless River (ooc: for now...) where it was said that only sinners bathed. There, he walked forward into the water, not looking back once, until he was completely submerged. He found that the watter was crystal clear and a glorious cool temperature. The half-elves cheered and followed him.

Soon, a town was built on the west side of the river. It was simply named "Muros," the sea-elven name for "home." The half-elves made Rand their king and build a massive castle, which they all lived in.

Muros grew rapidly. The number of half-elves was shocking. Hundreds pured into the walless city every day. But soon, evil men came, too. They murdered many. The warriors were forced to kill the intruders, and soon Rand ordered the building of a great wall. The wall surrounded the town, with a mile to spare on all edges.

And Muros grew. After a hundred years, there were half-a-million half-elves in the City. They cooperated in everything that they did. They formed a senate. They send envoys to other Kingdoms. They welcomed visitors into their city. And soon, many in the world forgot about the Half-elves. None came into Muros (which had grown from a town into a city and then into a bustling kingdom,) nor did many leave Muros. The fertile soil and peaceful sea made a people of farms, on one side, and traders on another.

Rand had a child with another half-elf. What was born was debated by many, but in the end it was determined that math did not apply to the lives of creatures. The baby girl was a half-elf, as well.

The affairs of the world concerned very few but the most wise in Muros, and one of the most uneasy was Rand. He looked at the events of the world with a cautious, but somewhat safe-feeling eye.

The following is written in the books of Murosian scholars:

General Info: Muros is a nation founded by half-elves. It started its existence as hated by men and ignored by elves. Generally, the affairs of the outisde world are ignored, excpet when they come knocking at the proverbial door.

Religion:
The Murosians take a wholistic view of the world, and see everything as God and God as everything. "God" is really just an

all-powerful guiding force, and is framed by spectators as a "hammer." The hammer may be used for good or evil. There is a

Church, but no one worships anything. Rather, a few token religious leaders and Holy Warriors propogate God.

Government:
Monarchy, basically, with a 10-member council elected by the people who is at the mercy of King Rand.

Races:
91% half-elvish, 5% human, 3% elf, 1% other.

The land:
Gently rolling grassy hills, with River as focal point of life.

Here is the template:

NO WAY!!!!! why always someone has to put their nation just next to mine

The Islands of Nippon was an enigma to most outsiders. The few people who were allowed to stay rarely came back. Those that did told of a socoety with a council of Mages governing the Lands, of a society bent around war.
It was all Elvish childrens dream of becoming a Battlewizard, those who dealt with their rivals with fire and ice, and often with duels with cold bitter steel. The first step to begin on this path began with studying magic at the Glorius Sun Palace, only those few who studied hard enough were allowed in, and the expulsion rate was high, but what was left were the wise Leaders of the Country. Those that failed at any part of the process were taken as officers in the army.
The Army itself was unique, it could afford to take the best. An essential part of any elvish childs upbringing was with the Sword and Longbow. It was known of Nipponese Children to kill lecharous Humans and Dwarfs who insulted them or their family.
It was this army that had made the island so secure, they had only been defeated through politics. They prospered, but their masters grew weak.

In Modern Times Nippon was led by the Prominent mage Elderad, he was old and decrepid, but you could see the forces of magic swirling in his eyes. He had United the Island once more in a commen purpose, domination. The mines were worked for their iron, the Great Forge wrought the metals. And the Army wielded the divine blade of the Nipponese.

OOC: Important point, army is composed of Male and Female elves, just so long as they are the elite. :king: (For purposes of story, which I really need to work on....)

I`m alive,story maybe soon,maybe not.

Starting on those stats. Would all those who are still playing let me know in the following few posts?

still here, and still waiting for my chance at Evil domination.

I hope it's obvious that I am still playing. :D

That much is a good thing. :p

BTW, I'm almost done with the stats. Just have to add the new nation and change a few culture and education stats. All but one of you know your armies, incomes, farmlands and industries now. :)

Here`s a crappy mini-story,I had no inspiration to write it,hence the crappines of it.

In his Black Citadel of EVIL,the Lich King was planing his EVIL plans."Come" he said to his best agent named Deathgaze,"You will go to the Lands of the Old Empires,Goldenfield or Goldenwood or whatever is called, there you shall infiltrate the Mage`s guild.Once you get a high rank and access to their boks of magics and alchemy, steal them and return to me.This mission is one of the many reasons I have left your humanity intact. You will be rewarded greatly if you successede. Now go and do not fail me."Yes, master - Deathgaze replied and left the throne room.Although Seth Dethos/Ner'zhul had great telepathic powers and could give his orders to Deathgaze telepathicly,he still liked doing things the old fashioned way.He thought he was more convincing that way and indeed he was with his terifying death cold voice.Kingdoms started to form near his,the Demonic order of Lodis and the Demonic Army.An alliance he wished with the Demonic Order of Lodis and the Demonic Army, though he was suspicious of the Demonic Army and their goal(OOC:need shorter names like DA and DOL lol).He took a map of the Scourge territory from the library and he called his builders."There,I want great gold mines built and here lumbermills" he said pointing to various locations on the map.Search for iron deposits in these hills,we will also need blacksmiths to forge swords and make arrows for my tireless army of skeleton warriors. Now for the people we need to build Graveyards and Temple's,so with the Graveyards we can exhume more corpses to make more undead and Temple's to educate people. That is all,go now.The builders went away to do the Lich Kings bidding and like a plague the Scourge was about to consume everything in its path.

OOC:I was thinking you could use that extra post on the first page for unit descriptions :)
Like for example -- Undead:These are the basic warriors of the Scourge, they are human servants of the Lich King who have made the final transition into true undead.

Aye,something like that ;) Anyway I got the Blood Red Color and you got the green one on the map :p

Ever since the fall of the Aurian Empire, there have been numerous small kingdoms rising from the ashes of the once Great Empire. They have been based on military power, prestige, and, religion. One such Empire was based in the Black Steepes, and, off the dangerous steepe region to the south, extending to the great Mountain chain. This Religous Empire was raised by a singular man, who believed that there were levels to both Heaven and Hell. This man's name was Sarobatui Yoshi, a powerful duke in his own right. Gaining a following quickly, he rasied an army and managed to defeat and convert the disfactioned Steepe Tribes.

The empire he creates was strong, and religously unifed. That is, until Sarobatui was killed by his most trusted Advisor because the General thought that the Angelic levels as part of the religion was foolhardy, and stupid. The Steepe part of the empire wholeheartly agreeded, while the Civilized part of the Empire, off the steepes, said that the Demonic part of the religion was stupid.

Thus sparked the religous civil war that split the old empire in two, the Steepe barbarians against the Civilized area. At first, the Steepe barbarians were disorganized, and no better than an unruly mob. As the Civilized Empire, calling themselves the Heavenly Army, began making headway, the leader emerged from the Barbarian tribes, Tensui. He rallied the Barbarian tribes, creating a Demonic army to fight the Heavenly Host. The bodies littered the fields on both sides, a constant stalemate between both forces. The Heavenly Army decided to withdraw, and leave the Demons to their steepe land. The Host retreated, and the Demonic army stood victorous of defending their land.

However, it was not to last. With the death of Tensui by drinking, the Demonic army once again became disorganized, and disunifed. Rival tribes littered the land, while the Heavenly Army stayed strong in the Civilized areas off the steepe, and occupied the land from the Mountain chain to the Steepes. 100 years after Tensuis death, they began to plan their second advance into the Black Steepe, and purge the remeants of the 9th Level Demon Worship from the land. Unfortuntly, Taekeda, the bastard son of a Heavenly Army General was seduced by a female huntress on the Black Steepe. Defeating her, he then married her and marked her as his own, in the tradiations of the Black Steepe clans. Seeing the own evils inherent in the Angel Worship of the Heavenly Army, he converted to the much more real, albielt more evil.

Taking to raiding the land, Taekeda made a name for himself as a Raider, and a brigard. He become strong enough to raise a fairly large force, and that's when the Heveanly army sent out a force to meet him, and crush him. Fleeing north into the Black Steepe, he went back to his wifes birth place, and used his military might to carve out an area for his own, made up of his Wife's former clan members. He saw the disorganized mass that turmoiled on the Black Steepes, and remembered his history lessons of the Glory of the Unifed Empire, and named his army, and his area, the Demonic Army. The clans of the Steepes remember the old days, but will they answer the call?

The Demonic Army

This nation, made up of Steepe Warriors, is a hard place to live, where death and evil runs rampant through the land, and only the strong survive. This nations strength relies on it warriors speed, and the versailtilty of the warriors to adapt to almost any military or otherwise situation. Horse Axemen, Bowmen, Horse Archer, Footsoldier, Unarmed Specialist, and that's only one warrior! These Steepe Horsemen are the most adaptable fighters alive, carrying with them many weapons whereever they do battle. Able to fire a volley one moment, and then charge in axes singing the next, these warriors are the cream of the crop.

However, given the harsh nature and culture of the Steepe clans, there are very few warriors who are able to be drafted, although they are highly experianced forced because of the infighting and hunting of highly dangerous beasts on the steepes. This nation, called the Demonic Army, is militarly strong, but weak in all other areas, espically hurting the population area. If the clans are unifed, they might be able to unify the old Empire, and wage their war against the World.

The Heavenly Army

This nation, on the opposite side of the coin, is made up virtueous men and women in civilized cities and land. This nation is off the steepes, and reigns from the end of the Steepe to the Great Mountain chain. This nation takes it strength from its infastructure, and its army is well equiped, and well trained, although not nearly as experianced or feriocous as their Demonic counterparts.

Their Knights and footsoldier are armored with plates situated in important areas to minimize on wieght, knowing that being slow agaisnt the Demonic army would be foolhardy, and only get a warrior killed. This Heavenly Host is powerful in its own right, using numbers, equipment, and knowleadge to become a match to the Steepe Barbarians. Wishing for nothing other than to exterminate the Unholy Demonic worshipers to their north, this Heavenly Army prepares day and night for the Cleansing of the Land, and the return of peace to the land. One of their favored weapons is the Reaper, believing to that their weapons will reap the evil from the land.
