When the Elders decided to end the conquest of the Gotars after 200 years of misery and suffering, Lapponia
had expanded from the north of the Bothnian Gulf to the south of what later was to be known as Sweden.
They were not the minor, unimportant little gathering of tribes they once had been, but a powerful, warlike empire, feared by
all. Or so they liked to think.
The expansion led to problems, though. The new neighbor, the Germans, constituted a big threat as they were also known for their warlikeness.
The Finns in the east were also considered to be enemies.
Would the Lapponian army be able to handle an attack, now that they had so long borders to defend?
The Elders decided to start building up the infrastructure in the newly occupied area, to help the failing economy.
The remaining Gotars in the area got more rights during the years, but were still mainly slaves to the Lapps,
and the Elders kept ruling with iron fists.
