stNNES8: Empires in Flames

Do you want orders PMed?

Either that or posted. Just so I know what they are, I don't care which medium. Though if you happen to know my email, that's not a smart route, I never check it. ;)

In any case, the last three posted sets of orders were exemplary of what I want. They'll get more detailed later on, but for now that's all I want.

Troy's orders
-Expand north and south along the Anatolian coast.
-All men must serve a mandatory 3 years in the millitary on their 18th birthday.
-All counquered barbarian peoples are to be given full citizenship of other Trojans in the empire, and allowed to keep their old land, provided they pay the taxes.
-Send colonists to Crete and Cyprus.
-Maintain a small, well trained navy.

Btw, may I suggest that gradually, both the "fast" and the normal turns become shorter (well, like we mods normally shorten them at later times...)? 250 years without much happening makes sense early on, but IMHO *such* long periods of quiet can hardly be observed later on. Hell, in 20th century it might as well be half-a-year "nornaml" turns and decade-long "fast" turns.

North King, please reply to the above.

Can someone please take Upper Egypt?

Description: Rome was founded by a descendant of a Trojan emigrant, Romulus (descendant of Aeneas) on the seven-hills site on the Tiber River. Basically the same as OTL.

Let's see if I can do better this time! ;)

Orders: Fortify the city on the seven hills.
Try to establish trade with the nations surrounding, but make the main priority the army. Use the normal citizen hoplite Greek system that Rome used before the Gallic invasion OTL.

Hmm, maybe I should change from Persia to Carthage ;) just kidding...

das, if you really think I'll *keep* it at 250 years, why, I'd begin to be insulted. ;)

Me too? (spam spam spam...;) )

What can I say, I like a challenge :)

That's:
Two nations in China;
Two nations in Egypt;
Two nations in Italy (plus two just outside of it on small islands...).

Very interesting.

OH WHY NK WHY??? You said there would be an update! Where is it??? :cry:
You have destroyed my dream, there is no point in life anymore... *goes to corner and dies...*

Ok that's maybe a bit overkill but where in the hell is the update?

Just to let you know where I was today. I woke up. A half an hour later I made a two hour trip to a completely different town. There I was doing various activities, before coming home again, around 5. The internet was down, and I left at 5:20 to perform in a play. I got home at 11. I've had half an hour to finally eat some dinner.

That, my friends, is why there is no update.

Excuses, excuses. ;)

It's quite alright, NK; I think everyone's just on edge because there's been a general draught of updates in the last few days. I for one am twitching about Gelion's NES.

I completely understand NK. My aunt just had twins, so most of today was pretty much sitting in the hospital talking about when the bris whil be. And yet, I somehow managed to get my NES up.

But NK didn't update unlike you, that's the point.
