Subdued Animals in C2C discussions

I find the new crocos and the head from the sabertoothtiger have a wrong size. they look gigantic to the other animals.

I have just changed the size of the crocs. They may need some more adjustment.

There is nothing I can do about the sabre tooth cat. It's tail is too long and coat colour is wrong also. It is the only model we have at the moment.

I don't know if they do but tales should definitely not count for units maintenance. But maybe tale could be better as promo on the killing unit, so you have to get the unit back alive to spread the tale (constructing the buildings losing the promo not the unit).

@DH

Can yo double or even triple the modifier for all snakes, i am currently on a Giant map and played well over 500 turns and haven't seen any, and i have all the terrain in my civs general area, thx.

btw, did you reduce the Eagles yet?

I found 2 cobras today. I subdued one. It was near some swampy terrain.

ok then, but overall aren't they the most un-founded ones out there?? Just wondering. ANd i know that snakes are found ALL over the world, even the ordinary "Garden Snake."

Ah, this is where I need to add some not AI's so that the locusts don't attack units at all only pillage. - On my to do list for v22.
Im not certain this needs fixing, unless you want to have some animals that are only threats to agriculture., ie improvements.

If the city can be taken the AI will attack, if the odds are poor it circles and sits close to the city. So its not a problem of the AI, but the play style of minimising city defenses ( same for terrian improvemnets).

Ive seen stacks of 6 locoust hover around a well defended city but not attack because of Spear unitrs with hunting tech in it.

Also rageing Barbs appears to change the odds the AI thinks about,( not only the number spawned) Neanderthals on rageing will attack cities with little odds of succes, but 2/3 in stack can bea problem, while on normal, the dont like the odds and leave the city alone.

Well we use to have the viper but it gave a graphics error. I will try to find some more Zoo Tycoons snakes. But I fear they may have the error too. Note the only snakes left in the game are the Python and Cobra.

All you have to do with the Python is make it smaller is all, you also do know how to make different colors right?

I was just noticing also, that i haven't been able to subdue a horse, i have attached them with a Tracker with both animal Hunter promotions plus now the new promotion animals extra XP but to NO avail??

New unit effect, subdued Python: slows down production due too much Python causing increased production times. j/k

For the 1st time since Subdued has been introduced I Finally subdued a Horse! Yeah! Yipe! And by an explorer no less! Now my State Religion Tengrii is valuable again. And may turn the war against the aborigine empire. Yes!

I have also subdued 4 rhinos but just as I was building rhino rider (3 turns left) the game told me " You can no longer build rhino trainer" and I have no clue what changed.

I have Elephant riders, Bear riders (another 1st), and Bison Riders. But the last 2 are relatively weak Mounted units. I've also captured a 1/2 dozen giraffe and still no trainer has become available. Gov's Pets, Menagerie, Carnivals, Enclosures, (zoos aren't available yet) have all been built but still no Giraffe rider/archer.

The Ironwood Clubman, and Coyote runner has been my main attacking force against the Aborigine empire.

Well many 1sts this game, But the subdued Horse maybe a game saver.

It's a great wonder isn't it. Someone else build it?

I don't know. I've never had 4 rhinos before. I still have 2, I think, left and I run them from city to city to see if Rhino rider will show back up. I'm clueless really. If it is a Wonder then I need to figure out which one.

One person saying there aren't enough or too many is not good enough especially when I am getting to few eagles and almost enough snakes. Snakes are mostly marsh and jungle at the moment but I agree their range needs to be adjusted. I don't think I did so after removing the viper.

Locusts are not animal units since animal units can't enter cultural borders. They are also not supposed to be barbarian units but I can't fix that. They are only there to pillage your, and everyone else's lands. The change to the AI stops them attacking cities. ;) There are actually 4 different strengths of locusts the larger ones would wipe that spearman out easily. We have not yet included them in game.

Yes all the mega fauna trainers should be wonders. Some, like deer and giraffe, have a latitude limit on them.

I have lots of jungle on my Giant map and Lots of snakes. I have had a good deal of eagles, hawks, Loons, vultures, ducks and Tons of pigeons. A few Ostrich and emu too.

My empire had a more equatorial start this time than a polar start.

Mix seems good to me DH.
