Suggestions and Requests

Perhaps you should shrink the size of the CN tower. It way to big compared to the other buildings.

It looks so hilarious though. Like if the Burj Khalifa was stretched out to a ridiculous length with a dome on top.

I've been up the tower a lot though, it is pretty tall...

Yeah.

An odd thing i've noticed about Pyongyang.

In 3000bc, korea normally settles it.

In 600 AD, they absolutely refuse to settle it. I've seen them settle the two adjacent hills and across the river, but never Pyongyang. Do you know why this is?

Also, HRE always settles Magdeburg in the same spot. Is this to keep them from founding Brandenburg/Berlin?
The AI is very stubborn with these things sometimes. The German AI just can't be brought to settle Brandenburg. Not to mention that Magdeburg is definitely the most important city in the area in medieval times.

Appart from nerfing the english, so that they don't get techs so fast...

I suggest the victories that require "control" of an area also count vassals. I.e. as Germany having Italy as vassal counts towards controlling the area. Also Japan with the south pacific civs, or even spain...

It depends on the situation and historical context. For example, the Japanese goal allows vassalization. It's always explicitly mentioned when this is the case.

Drop settling possibility to zero around important cities then.

That's not how it works.

Yeah.

I see what you mean about Magdeburg. It's a shame we can't have protestantism founded there because then Berlin can't be settled. Looking at the city's history, Magdeburg is much more appropriate for a major Protestant city than Frankfurt.

I suggest some civs get hidden UP:s like Polynesias "expand over water". Suggestions:

Desert: Arabia, Mali, Egypt, Turkey, Moors.
Jungle: Khmer, Thai, Indonesians, Polynesians, Brazil, Maya, Kongo
Ocean: Polynesians, Indonesians
Mountain: Incas, Tibetans
Tundra: Russians

The bonus could be different for different civs, like 50% off cost.

For the Incans that is actually the case. Other than that I don't want to dimish the value of the Polynesian UP though.

I usually like to continue playing after I've reached UHVs,
But that big 'XXX has done a Unique Historical Victory!' message in the middle of the screen bothers me.
Could you do anything about it?
Say, make it disappear a couple of turns after the victory has been made.

Maybe the "empire" name should be enabled only by absolutism, especially for the colonial civs.

A few suggestions:

*Barbarian Hyksos chariots invading Egypt in 1700 BC.

*Having a Great General-lead Celtic unit called Brennus appear around 400 BC just north of Italy.

*Imam Hussayn Shrine (World Wonder)
Unlocked with Divine Right and Guilds
Provides 2 :culture: for every Open Borders you have
Halves effect of religion on relationships (effects only the original builder)

*Plaza de la Constitución (World Wonder)
Unlocked with Constitution and Nationalism
Requires Catholicism
Requires Silver
Requires Catholic Cathedral
Enemies conquering your cities will not gain free culture upon conquest
Drafting in this city gives two units

*Rename Wembley to Maracanã

Yes, that's a good idea.

Althoug not so important it would be a satisfying addition :D

Unlocked with Divine Right and Guilds

Yes, but without the last effect, we need Arabia to be hostile towards others and vice versa.

Unlocked with Constitution and Nationalism
Requires Catholicism

Almost all states have something similar, so I would modify it as follows:
*Constitution square (national wonder)
Unlocks with Nationalism (Constitution is required already by nationalism)
Requires Autocracy or Republic
+2:)
Drafting in this city gives two units

Olympic park requirement is changed to Mass media.

*Rename Wembley to Maracanã
Yes please.

Can we also please come up with for useful Brazilian UP?

Leo, why don't you change the first American UHV in "...and control or vassalize Mexico and Canada?

Another question: Mexico is out of 1700 select-a-civilization screen, right?

Because that wouldn't be very historical.

And yes, respawned civs cannot have autoplay.

I'd rather the 1st uhv be changed to something more historical that forces America to claim more historical places like Alaska, Hawaii, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Panama, and the Phillipines. Plus, with the current tech rate situation, as America your primary concern is catching up to Europe in the tech race through developing your land and cities rather than developing an army to conquer all of North America.

No, because certain stuff is hardcoded regardless of scenario. It's possible to change that of course, but I'd rather make some more fundamental changes later and changing the system twice is an overall waste of time.
