Suggestions for Dynamic Names

There are also some other factors, but population is the most relevant.

They're barely in, but some suggestions for Brazil (and for the yet to be included argentinians)

Brazil, if:
*Tyranny, dynasticism or theocracy, regardless of everything else: Empire of Brazil (Kingdom of Brazil was a very short-lived name)
*Totalitarianism or representation or universal suffrage or egalitarianism: Federative Republic of Brazil (odd, yes. The dictatorship adopted the name, and it was kept by the democratic government. So it should represent BOTH a non-populist military dictatorship and a mature democracy)
*Vassalized to portugal: Principality of Brazil
*Default name: United States of Brazil

Argentina, if vassalized to Brazil: Transplatine province

They become an empire with six or more cities which is often what they flip at spawn. I think it makes sense to keep the kingdom name in case they get reduced to less for whatever reason.

I like the Argentine vassal name.

Sounds good, in my game i flipped 4 cities (São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza and Belém), so that's why it's still kingdom.

I like the Argentine vassal name.
When an empire names a newly conquered territory cis-something, you bet they are planning to conquer a trans-something.

But it's not on my idea, it's all over the place, including wiki :p

Argentina as a Spanish Vassal: Viceroyalty of the Rio de la Plata

Mali as an American vassal: Republic of Liberia
Yes, the two states have pretty much no relation to each other, but it'd be nice to see the name happen very once in a while.

Khmer/Thailand as a US Vassal: Republic of Vietnam
Referring obviously to South Vietnam, supported by the US in the Vietnam War.

America as a Roman Vassal: Province of Canada
This will obviously never happen. But now, we can claim to represent Canada in-game. And it doesn't sound that bad.

Communist England: Worker's Commonwealth
Victoria 2's name for a Communist GB. Sounds better than just "Commonwealth of England", and it reduces name overlap.

You understand that I now feel obliged to play a Roman game and vassalize America, yes?

Tamils with a large presence in India, but no presence outside of India: Vijaynagara Empire

Mughals Driven out of India into Pakistan (or even Afghanistan): Durrani Empire
EDIT: after more reading I learned the Durrani were centered in Afghanistan. I guess only rename to Durrani if the Mughals own Afghanistan, but not Northern India.

Malis as a vassal of the Moors: Pashalik of Timbuktu

Also I feel like any government driven out of their core area (except Carthage and Mongols) should have the name "(Civ Adjective) Government in Exile" like the Portuguese have "Portuguese Government in Exile." Especially the Netherlands.

Sure we could. There are generic vassal names for example.
