talonNES: MES/NES III

Doors to the bridge (though I forgot to include them on the floorplan, you may assume they're there) are on the relative ceiling.

And the roll for landing the ship was 41, for a baseline of 60. Perfectly, except for landing on someone's pet.

Roll for locking doors: Baseline 50, roll 44. You locked the first door (which in absence of instruction I decided was the one on the port side), but slipped and fell to the windshield reaching for the starboard handle. Sprained ankle, -4 HP.

And, the bridge, detailed:

What about the rolls for the people falling out of the ship?

Well, they were trying to climb up the stairs. I determined they'd have roughly a 1 in 6 chance of falling out, and just made 1 of 6 fall out.

As that's not quite fair, I rolled random numbers just now. 76, 6, 57, 51, 70, 80. Baseline at 17 to shake each of them out. Still 1 for 6.

There is a ruckus among the people of Singapore as the great spaceship rises up and tilts to point down at the city. Panic, as the rumour spreads that it's preparing to fire. One man falls screaming out of the gaping entranceway, landing with an unpleasant squelch. Now anger spreads, righteous fury against these men from the stars who come and kill. Someone remembers that four of them are still in the city, and the crowd, now numbering into the hundreds, sets off in search.

OOC: Great, some guy tries to kill one of us and now we will have to do a runner. BTW, nice map!

"We are going to need several kegs of your best beer, and several bottles of your best liquors."

I notice that my bracelet (OOC: the one that we were given initially to communicate and all of those things) has a light twinkling (OOC: as the ship is lifting off). I try to communicate with the others. "Guys, what's going on?"

OOC: Goddamn it. And you went to such trouble to detail your timeline, too.

"Fine. Fine. This is... a little beyond my area of expertise. I'm gonna go ahead and call my superiors. Wait here."

Very quickly he gets off his phone. "If you'd come with me, there's some interest at the top."

Four soldiers come at his command, and he moves toward the door.

Sancha is gazing out the windows (it has windows, right?) of the pub. Towards the mayhem happening of the MES.

"Hey, Antonio. Whatever you're doing over there, it better be quick. Looks like our friend Donald is not exactly blending in."

"¿Qué?" Antonio said, looking out of the window. When he saw the MES moving around erratically, he blanched. "Jooodeeeer, this is going to get real bad," I muttered. I then raised my arm to whisper in my bracelet. "Emilio, pal, get your work done and get your ass to the nearest bar, we are going to get some bad news really soon." Turning to Sancha, he also whispered: "Sandra, my dear, would you mind standing by the 'Personnel Only' door? I fear we might have to get out of here real fast."

He then turned to the barman. "Well? Where is the alcohol? We would like to do this as soon as possible, so, if you do not mind..."

OOC: What do we have for money?

OOC: Goddamn it. And you went to such trouble to detail your timeline, too.

OOC: Yeah, I did. Not. Came up with that in a few minutes :p

OOC: Maybe I'm just mentally challenged today, but we have cool messenger bracelet things? Since when?

What, money? You think Singaporean dollars are standard issue?
OOC: Yes. The crazy-as-**** captain demands it.

I'll make some IC responses when I get a reply to my question above :p

The bracelet things. I decided to assume linguistic difficulties were somehow not a problem. Milarqui assumed I meant I included the bracelet translator/communicators that he'd included in his editions of MES/NES. I thought, "Sure, why not?"

Woo. IC response coming.

/holds up bracelet to ear, hears Antonio's message, then talks to the soldiers
"I would love to come with you, but one of my men has informed me that there's some disturbance outside. Mind if I go check?"

"We really need to go now. You have about twenty seconds. Catch up." The soldiers start trotting north up the road, headed for the largest and most ornate building on the skyline, a cross between the Taj Mahal and St Peter's Basilica.

Inside the Stubbornly Nameless MES, the boarders wrench open the second story door at the front of the cargo bay, and begin climbing down the walls in the direction of the bow.

Incidental damage to Badr/Basim from tumbling about as the ship maenoeuvres: -2 HP

"The Stubbornly Nameless"

Best. Name. Ever.

Stabilise the ship at a normal angle and hide to the left of the door to ambush the attackers when they break the door down.

"Wait, Emelio. I'll go with them, I could probably do something, maybe. You go out and check. That okay wih you, boys?"
