Grand Emperor
What if the Tang Dynasty declared war on the Caliphate(or reversed),what would have happened then? And there was an invasion?
I know of that battle, but if example Emperor Taizong or Empress Wu Zetian started an huge invasion or the Caliphate started an invasion?
Because of 1upt, there's not enough space between the Himalaya and the Altai Mountains to deploy enough units for a breakthrough. No gain for either side.I know of that battle, but if example Emperor Taizong or Empress Wu Zetian started an huge invasion or the Caliphate started an invasion?
This wouldn't be possible. They couldn't even really hold on to Korea or Xinjiang, why would they be able to hold on to any portion of the Middle East or even Persia for more than a few months at most?I know of that battle, but if example Emperor Taizong or Empress Wu Zetian started an huge invasion or the Caliphate started an invasion?
The Battle of Talas was fairly inconsequential except for the discovery of paper by the Caliphate after they captured a few Chinese engineers. In fact, the Tang position in Central Asia strengthened for a few years after the battle due to the Turks that they had fought against being fairly devastated. Though all these questions are really silly.

China collapsed into civil war within five years.
Yes, that was rather the point - I thought that the 1upt comment would've made that clear enough! The Battle of Talas was fairly inconsequential except for the discovery of paper by the Caliphate after they captured a few Chinese engineers. Yes. There are much more fun what-ifs out there.General Pilates said:Though all these questions are really silly.
Yes, that was rather the point - I thought that the 1upt comment would've made that clear enough!Although I've always found it to be hilarious that both the Tang and the Umayyad states had massive civil wars immediately after the battle - the Tang one only semi-connected to the engagement's outcome, and the Muslim one connected but not contingent.
Here I was thinking that that Muslims were sons of Satan from the hell. Thank you for enlightening me. Though I fear the dire consequences of your public revelation of these dark secrets. Even now, I fear the lizard-people/ illuminati are making their way to my door. Spread the word, brother.I think that something I should say, so please don't open if you can't bear the consequence
Spoiler :China threat advocate is really disgusting and nonsense, step them under your shoes is not an decent act of showing-off your courage either.
Muslims are not demons and son of Satans from the hell, I know that someone treat them like this.

Also, I think what would have happened is that the Chinese would have been defeated, and in their desperation fled across the sea to themythical land of KalimdorNew World, colonising it, then going on to win WWII.
The Europeans didn't lose the Crusades against "the Caliphate".The Arab Caliphates are often exaggerated because the Europeans lost the Crusades.
