@PrinceScamp: It's purpose-made for this task and it works great.
Well thats great but you still have not said exactly how its better.

Why are you all being so negative about this?!
Itsl ess negative and more wondering how its any etterand if thatm ade it worth the admin's time instead of doing something more important. I'm glad you finally posted something about how it works (or at least looks), glad it works :)

Is there any way to remove the notifications that Tapatalk is available whenever I click on a thread or link in CFC? I wouldn't mind it if it was the first time I clicked on a link in that session, but when it is every singe time it gets annoying, especialy when the app in question isn't free. I would have to say it is the most intrusive ad on CFC, and CFC isn't even getting money from hosting it!

Click on the red x to the right of the notification.

I'm using an iPhone and I'm not seeing a red x, just a cancel and OK button. Might my lack of a red X result from using an old version of Safari?

I cannot seem to find any option in the blacklberry version to disable that. Consider this a test post to see if it does it. Oh... Free for blackberry! RIM FTW!

EDIT: Okay cool. Checking now via firefox and no "This has been posted on my device..." blurb. ROCKIN' Everyone switch from android and iphone to blackberry and we're golden.

Well, I'm working via firefox on the forums. Must be a tapatalk 'feature'. I'll remove the notice in a week or so (if I remember)
He means he's using the browser on his iPhone, and a notification/popup pops up to say that tapatalk is available on the forum. It might not be willing or able to do the javascript/ajax required to remember that you clicked cancel -- on my phone, it only shows up once and then it remembers that I clicked ok or cancel before and doesn't show up again.

I can confirm it doesn't show up in the Tapatalk app itself. In fact none of the ads do. But then none of the ads show up on my phone's browser either, because they're all flash-based and it doesn't waste CPU loading flash ads.

The notification only showed up once on Android as well. Kind of weird that it shows up every time.

@PrinceScamp: Sorry for not being clear. It is better in that way that it's tailored for this purpose. It kind of "remakes" the forums to be shown on a smartphone touchscreen.

I don't use tapatalk, no wonder given that I don't have a smartphone, but the CFC Notice only shows when I log in, afterwards it doesn't show again unless I log off and back in again.

Thank you Admins for making the forum Tapatalk compatible. Forums load faster on my phone, easier to read, auto sign-in, easier to navigate. Notifications about forum replies, etc... I've stopped reading the forums on my PC... No, I'm not a paid spokesman. :)

I just noticed that a request I made, made it to the notice up top. Sweet. :3

Again, thanks to the admin who enabled this, it makes browsing the forum from my phone a much more pleasant experience. :3

I thought I'd mention that ForumRunner works, too. I haven't seen any pop-ups for it (a point in its favor for me), so I thought I'd let you all know.

As for those asking what makes the app (either one) worth it: I only just got the free version, but it did seem to help readability somewhat. I don't think it's enough to pay for it, neccessarily, but load times seem a lot faster (take that with a grain of salt, since I've only spent 5 mins browsing. No hang ups so far and the font is a good size for even reading vertically. Oh, and normally I read zoomed in (blind as a bat), but that way I have to skip catching the poster's name. The app moves the name to the top so I can read that, too.

All in all, I'd say the free version is good. I'd consider buying it, too, if I had money to burn.
