Hi,
Quick question on the mod manager.
Is it possible (or harmful) to disable an Essential type mod?
I do see an active Disable button for modern and core
If this is the case, maybe it is wise to hide disable button from Essential mods?

Hmm, yeah I went back and forth on showing those ones at all - might be best for me to not even though I wanted support the ability for total overhaul mods to replace some of the core modules. If you disable most of them nothing will work.
 
Maybe you could disable the button by default for essential mods, and make it so people can enable the button by editing one of the mods files? That way you keep the flexibility, but prevent total chaos for the more "experimental" users.

I think it's good that the content is shown in the list, especially since the Antiquity Age was always the default selected one, despite being invisible.
 
The new mod page UI is so much nicer than the default. I especially like the much easier to read enabled/disabled icons. Would it be possible to add a button to enable/disable all user mods? I'm often doing that when I want to make sure a mod I'm working on is working correctly in the base game vs my heavily modded plays.
 
how do you get the new mod UI page to work? I added it to the mod folder, but it doesnt seem to be registering or working for me... maybe im missing a simple step?

any help greatly appreciated!
 
Hi! I've translated your mod into Russian, however some strings are not taken from localization file.

All - I'm going to be setting up a github repo for this mod - I'm currently getting a little overwhelmed with tracking all the translation files, so I'm going to request that once I have the repo set up translations are added there.
 
A mod homepage url will now be displayed if added in the modinfo - you can click it to copy to clipboard.

Please make sure the mod is not nested inside an extra folder after unzipping.

Those are great ideas - but in my long term backlog as the event stuff is still very confusing to me.

Would it be possible to get localization support for the tags used in the modinfo file? If I put my game in another language, the mod list will still show the English description text for my mod. And localization tags for Compatibility and SpecialThanks don't work at all, unless I paste them in your ShellText.xml file :cool:

Working on an update for TCS Improved Plot Tooltip. Replacing some text with iconography to make things easier to parse, trying to make icons pop more, adjusting the warning banners...

Also fiddling with building name/tag flowing. I think it's better and at least shouldn't run into each other now, but multiple tags will sometimes flow in a bit of an odd-looking manner. I don't think I can do anything about that and keep the Buildings flowing as a row.

Update should be out this weekend. I don't anticipate any need for localization updates.
 
Hi. It has been a long time since I posted here in the forums. I have all the current DLC for Civ7. I currently have 14 mods in my game, however both your Improved Mod Page and Improved Plot Tootip while downloaded and unzipped do not show up within the games mod page. There are also 2-3 others that do not however I want to focus on why your 2 mods do not. I am in a Isabella game with the 14 mods. I have continued downloading and unzipping your mods to hopefully trigger them active. No luck so far. Any ideas?
