I think back in his day :old: they didnt have no fancy GPU or SMP clients, they ran the good old Uniprocessor client and loved it.

Yep, it used to take four days to fold a single unit (for 500 points).
Tell that to the young people today, they won't believe you. :old:

EDIT : And welcome to the team Bigfoot [party]

I downloaded and installed this thingy. I hope it's doing something...

check fahlog.txt in your fah directory
It would seem it's doing something! Mostly Greek to me though. I sure hope it's helping cancer research!

check fahlog.txt in your fah directory

This is really easy if you bookmark fahlog.txt, unitinfo.txt and/or MyFolding.html in your web browser.

Is the "display" supposed to be anything other than a black screen? I'm only at 5% of whatever right now.

So what happens when a WU finishes and you do not have an internet connection? It seems that happened last night and I dont see the WU anywhere. its really annoying since it was a 1920 point WU that took almost a full day ( router was down last night I guess)

If FAH can't send a WU for any reason (router down being one), the WU will stay in the queue and FAH will keep trying every so many hours until it does manage to send it. If you fix the problem, restart FAH to make it retry immediately.

Problem is it went on to another WU already. In fact, its at almost 60% for another WU already. The stats have been updated at least 3 times since the previous one should have finished.

It'll keep the completed WU until it can send it. You should connect for a while to let it discover the connection next time it tries. The fah log file will show you the attempts it made to send.

Log shows it made a single attempt to send and the next entry is from it starting on the next WU.

During the next folding sequence it should try to send again. Here is an example from my log earlier this month. I'm running the SMP client for Mac:

My "folding garden" is up, an Athlon 2.7GHz dual-core and two nVidia 9600GSO video cards. Once it proves itself stable I'll overclock the video cards a little bit and see about maxing out their production.
