Tearing Up the Tech Tree - Science Strategies for Deity Play In the .217 Patch

Thanks for the explanation Deau, I liked the idea of the strategy; but couldn't play it right. I might still play around with it, but a little less aggressive and with more archers for defense.

Hey Martin Alvito thanks for this guide,

I tried it on immortal as England and it worked very good. look forward to more insight, keep up the good work.

So Meritocracy has changed. Now it gives you:

"+1 Happiness for each City you own connected to the Capital and -5% Unhappiness from Citizens in non-occupied Cities."

You now have to get to the bottom of the Liberty tree to get that great person.

I've found this causes all kinds of problems with the Science rush strategy. I can still crank up the science, but I can't get to NC until around turn 90 and there are lots of turns where there's nothing worthwhile to build. What's more, aggressive neighbours get within a whisker of destroying Mecca.

How are you coping?

Those Research Agreements should be in place by about turn 40

Apologies if this has been asked before, but how do you get to eduction in 40 turns?

This is very old stuff. Nothing useful here.
