Another for the FAQ!

Is it possible to hide military numbers from the general public? Or would I have to close my borders?

Theoretically it's possible to obscure your actual troop numbers, though with sufficient espionage it'd be possible to discover the real amount. Naturally the difference between real and imaginary troop numbers should be reasonable. :p

In the Resdayn Palace in Tel Mora, Andel Nerando checks up on the progress of the westward expansion of the dominion. Ebonheart, a settlement located on the mouth of the Vale River has grown to a small town and eventually becoming a port of entry of the Resdayn Dominion. Andel soon noticed the lack of expansion towards the mountains. Andel look to Grand Visor "Send an incentive to the settlers of the overcrowded cities within the Dominion to start settling in the mountain region as well as expanding upwards in the Vale River Valley. Send out prospectors out there as well to find materials to exploit in the mountains."

"It shall be done" said the Grand Visor of the Dominion.

Andel soon looked at the reports coming from Ebonheart, which started planting silverwood trees and establishing a lumber industry. A civil project of a road system linking Ebonheart to Tel Mora has gone underway, linking the two cities with one another. Then turns to the Grand Visor again to inquire about the status of the world afairs.

"The only thing of note" said the Grand Visor "Is a dispute between the Necromancers and the Merchant Republic."

Andel raises his hand and scoffs "Nothing more than petty religious disputes that we should not involve ourselves in. Our primary concern here is to establish ourselves as a major power in the region."

Suppose I'll go on the record and say orders lock in 72 hours!

Hopefully activity will pick up; it sounds like everyone's bit hit with a glut of homework or the like recently.

Well, im just horribad with role playing, so i don't bother trying.

Given that only 7 of 16 players have given orders, I'm going to extend the deadline further; orders will lock in 24 hours.

I'm hoping this won't die quicker than Imperium Universalis! :(

Sorry, I should have some RP in soon. Hopefully my efforts, although fairly insignifigant in the long run, should liven things up a bit.

(OOC: This is not to be taken too seriously, I am bored with 10 minutes to blow at school)

A poem in native Ajah:

Woo woooooo Woof
Bluuuuuu woooo wuuuooo
Aooooo aaaaaaooouuu waooooo
Wuuuuuuuuuuuuoooooooooo
Woof woof woof woof wuoo

(The long summer morning
Reminds me of my home
The red sun is warning
To protect my hairless dome
I dont forget, sunburns are not boring)

This is an Ajah nursery rhyme to remind newly-shaved pups to keep their head-mantles on, to protect themselves from sunburns.

(OOC: How great was that!)

Brilliant, Deusselkerr. :p

Orders locked! I can proceed with the update now. If someone missed orders, I will automate spending in accordance with prior spending to preserve that state's position.

Update II: 6 TY

The Empire has pushed eastward, its skilled troops displacing any and all native tribes who refused to swear allegiance, extending all the way to a river in the east, greatly enhancing the defense of the Empire’s frontier. Meanwhile the Empire continues to be the world’s leading nation in military technology.

Meanwhile, Terios has seen its first act of terrorism, as a bomb has detonated in the center of the Baltik’s northernmost territory, killing 22 Baltik citizens. While some residents were quick to blame the Empire given its standoff with the Baltik in the past, current evidence suggest it was perpetrated by a small group of separatists who desire independence from the Baltik capital.

The Spice League maintains its position of economic dominance, able to bring far more of an economy to bear than any of its rivals. The nation’s success is attributed to its excellent education and infrastructure, combined with its preference to develop what it has versus expanding outward.

While some nations have threatened war if any state should intrude on territory they have ambitions of taking, there has fortunately been no actual outbreak of conflict. As the world’s economic and technological stratification continues, however, one can only guess if this trend shall remain constant.

===Some Notes===

Your "navy" section indicates how many men serve in your fleet, not how many ships or types of ship you have. I try to allot navies reasonably going by the numbers you give me.

A couple questions:

1. what does S in mathalian Healthcare mean?
2. do i have to maintain some level of funding to keep the grade? if so, how much?

Why are there zero people in the Navy? I'm sure I specified to put SOME people in there. :crazyeye:

In any case, let's have the Grue have 1% of their population in the Army and 1% of their population in the Navy.

1. S means you are the best in the world in the category. The ranks are S-A-B-C-D-E.

2. You are recommended to spend the same percent of your budget per turn on the category to keep the grade.

Duly noted.

OOC: Did I miss something? Who is the dude on my continent?

That's the Cahuilla, played by Talonschild. I missed him on the last update.

so i have to spend 2000 credits a turn to keep the rating?

Baase declares that nations of the world should consider sending their students to Baasen universities. As well learning the dark arts students can also learn administration, science (especilly biology), engineering, litrature, history and other subjects of grandness.

More or less. You'll want to increase it gradually, since as your population increases, the amount of money you need to spend to maintain quality does as well. A 10 billion healthcare allowance benefits 1 million far more than 10 million.
