I made a detailed plan what I'm going to do in following 20 turns. It is to allow fellow citizens to criticize my actions and stop me doing stupid things :)
If we fail to build the HG we will fall behind leading teams. so it's top priority in the term 7.

Estimated demographics after turn 140:

dam...impressive if we can pull off that demographic screen. Good outline, hopefully we can follow it with out changes to get us whee you want us to be.

It all looks good, lets hope it can work out that way

BCLG, at the moment capital has the best food surplus, globetheatre should be built there. Later we adopt Nationhood and start drafting units, so Bureaucracy is less important. GP farm any proposals?

Just went into the new save to get some sceenshots for the Domestic thread. The bad news is Loco has Theology so no christianity for us.

Also i think Hello is the best place for a GP farm, it has loads of grassland to build farms

Edit- Actually looking at it again, they can't trade it which means they got it from somewhere and the other 2 we know don't have it so it could only be Epsilon. Also Piffle has Construction which they can't trade, again Epsilon is the only possible way they got it by trading so it looks like they have been busy

Piffle owes us construction dont forget.

Yes, but they didn't research it themselfs. Epsilon have been very active on the trade front. It looks like this game is well and truly on now:)

Piffle border spotted.

Barbs are irritating. Had to leave town Hej undefended.

I hope this was trade we agreed.

Wow a lot more detail there then i put in:)

Yes that is the deal agreed to with Innovia and yes the barbs are very irritating.

Also i had a bit of an idea with Piffle so close.
We are hopefully getting Music first, that gives us an Artist. We keep him and wait for the merchant in Aloha. We use them for a GA. With the GA we build up our military and hit Piffle, we should have Galleons and cossaks by then so we can completely blind side them and take them out. This would happen around turn 170-180.

Taking the idea a step further, we get Innovia to take out Loco at the same time, this leaves us 2 on 1 vs Epsilon, who would be shut out of a trading partner, we could build up a tech lead over them and take them out too leaving a 2 horse race to the finish which i think we should win.

I know i'm not the only one that has friends playing at Piffle so the idea is harsh, but the game is a game and buisness is buisness.

Any thoughts?

I fear that wars would stalemate and dragging so long that meanwhile Epsilon would gain huge advantage tech wise. Loco is lagging behind rest of the teams it seems to me that they are trying cultural victory  We could start to build highway road between Innovia and us. I haven't checked how many tiles there are between. 3 workers would build it in 30-40 turns, likely. That would help Innovia to bring troops to attack range on Piffle. with combined forces Piffle would be in deep trouble. well, all is speculation still but it may happen.

That sounds like TNT's highway through the jungle and most of us know how that turned out. (Sorry I couldn't resist  )

Don't get me wrong I think attacking when we get cav is a very good idea that uses our advantage and the ironless world.

But we can build boats while we are waiting for MT, cav after that. Have the first units built head there on foot. We can build roads to get there faster but don't let them see you do it. When they are close load the boats full and head over. Therefore you invade at two fronts.

Kill Piffle would make me happy.

OF course then some of them will say we broke our word with them. BUT since it was nothing formal and they seem to be playing as our and Epsilons friends you have to wonder just how far their hypocrisy goes.

Drawbacks....Epsilon will have an advantage and may help Piffle with techs for longer lasting friendship.

I think we get Innovia to help us attack Piffle adn just ask Loco to stay quiet and not get involved.

We could try and get innovia to get them and piffle involved in a war vs epsilon and then declare on piffle.

in this way we havnt stabbed anyone in the back but this is bordering dishonour...

and them trading with epsilon while telling us they werent isnt dishonor.

I rather just kill them straight up....no trickery.

Its tough to say how easy or hard it would be against Piffle until we find out more about their territory but a well planned surprise attack could easily get 3 or 4 cities off them. If we can achieve an inital breakthrough then we would avoid any stalemates. Like i said this wont be happening for another 50 turns minimum so we have a chance to weigh up our options, but for the moment if we were to attack someone, strategically Piffle is the best target.

As for the road, the problem is not only would we be tieing up a lot of workers to build it but we already have enough problems with barbs and having to get units into place to guard the workers and the road would be too much of a waste of resources.

Also it might be worthwhile to try to get the circumnavigation bonus, the extra MP for ships would be handy in launching an attack from the sea

The save is in. I opened it up to grab some screenies (see DM thread)

A few notes.
The barb axe died attacking our axe near guten tag:D
The barb warrior near privet is on the horse asking to be killed
Innovia accepted the deal
And we can take research down to 70% without losing time on Music
