Terminal Velocity: The Moonage Daydream

ALright then my Picks would bee:

Ghana,South Africa and Morocco.

Don't really care which one I get. Ghana and Morocco are a good chance to form a larger Federation while South Africa is simply very stong already, somebody has to bring Peace, Freedom and democracy to Swasiland

Canada, Brazil, Argentina, European Union, India, Eurasian Union, China, and Japan all possess launch capacity.
Hi, I was just thinking this sounded strange given that even today, many more countries have launch capacity, such as both Koreas, Israël, Iran (and I'm not sure but probably Pakistan and Saudi Arabia).
(If this detail is intended, please do ignore what I said :) )

Really hyped to play this!

Sounds reasonable. I am amending the list of nations with launch capacity.

1. ASEAN
2. China
3. Korea
4. Japan

------

1. Croatia
2. Congo
3. Serbia

Hey

Launch Capable Nations from Space Answers.

Over the last 57 years of space exploration a lot of countries have had some involvement in space. This can range from the building of rockets, designing experiments to go on board and even providing and training the astronauts who go into space. Due to the tremendous cost of space travel, exploration outside our planet has become a truly international affair.

That being said only a limited selection of countries possess the ability to launch something into orbit around the Earth. To date there are 9 countries that have orbital launch capability. These are Russia, the United States, France, Japan, China, India, Israel, Iran and North Korea. These 9 countries have the ability to build and launch an orbit capable vehicle. Great Britain developed launch capacity in the 1970’s but did not join the European consortium Arianespace, therefore losing this ability. A few other countries have inherited technology allowing them to make orbital flights. These include Ukraine and South Korea, and nine other European countries who have access through the combined effort of ESA and Arianespace.

That shown, I haven't read much of the timeline yet so its what it is research. I do find that Great Britain losing its ability a surprise. :D

Don't want a top tier state.

Whatever happens one thing for sure: if I become China I will aim to build a moon colony; the same if I am Japan. Eurasia would too seek.

If I become Chile, Serbia or Ozzieland I too will seek out the stars by aiming for space capabilities.

yeah, i read that too. Its where i got my list. i figure the UK launches through EU facilities...

So, looking through people's choices of nations, I need potential new players to strongly consider:

Colombia or Venezuela
Mexico
Brazil
East African Federation
Nigeria
Iran

1st tier
1. Japan
2. EuroUnion
3. Brazil

2nd tier
1. Korea
2. Sweden
3. Norway

I've grown rather fond of Ummah Al'Salaam. What's their deal? How are things politically?

Politically? Fairly stable; two major groups: Traditionalist/religious and more liberal/progressives.
With time they've gradually become more liberalized as they recover from years of occupation (and, honestly, predatory policies by the previous regimes and business interests).

Tier I:
Japan- mainly because as is painfully apparent, I have a lot and a lot of feelings about future Japan.

Tier II:
Hungary,
Afghanistan,
Bangladesh

The following nations have been assigned:

Canada: Thomas.Berubeg
USA (capitalist): CelticEmpire
USA (socialist): Christopher_Sni
Colombia: Blaze Injun
Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Uraguay: Tolni
United Kingdom: Seon
Greece: Christos
Ghana: Tobisisagoodboy
Zambia: Civ'ed
India: Decamper

The remaining nations still need to be assigned. I may reach out to some of you and ask you to try playing a nation I feel you would be well-matched for but which you did not apply for.

Curses, did I lose something at RNG or something...Also, do I run all four of those countries as one or what..?

Sorry... tough decisions and all that.

If you do not want Argentina et al., thats okay (though i really do need a strong player at the helm of that nation).

Oh, I don't mind. You could say that it's better that way - I can engage into...activities without pissing the whole world off. Are the other 3 countries my satellites and can I integrate them?
