The Academy II: Development Thread

What species your character is affects your player's in game performance

Yes.

[*]Make prestige public

NO.

[*]Characters required to be from Star Wars universe

Depends, if you mean an actual character in Wookipedia, NO, if you just mean Star Wars themed (So you couldn't be stupid and make, say, Gandalf) then abstain.

[*]Different setting (i.e. players are Stormtroopers or Jedi instead of Sith; maybe even a different universe, such as LotR)[/list]

The Jedi idea is actually interesting, and so I'll abstain there, but absolutely not on anywhere else.

Why was a 6/6 dead heat passed?

A jedi themed game with the current mechanics of the game couldn't work, the jedi are not competetive in there training, that is why they are weak.

Abstain on the setting change, really? Which would you prefer of those, Like I said before a Jedi game would not be much fun, and a stortrooper game would suck, who wants to train to be the faceless cannon fodder of the empire, as for LotR maybe in a future game but I fo one wants to see the end of the Academy.

Star Wars themed character, using characters that already exist in the Star Wars universe is frowned upon (as is the Star Wars Expanded Universe in general, but that's for another day).

(Although I like the idea of being the top graduate from the Imperial Stormtrooper school of Marksmanship. I'd get to be one of the guys who gets their shots deflected back at me by the heroes, rather than completely missing! :crazyeye: )

Give more options for night actions- yes
Assign weaknesses/abilities randomly- Weaknesses, but not abilities Just so that everyone has about the same strength of weakness. In the last game I felt that some weaknesses are worse than others.
Allow night posting- yes
Factions- yes
