The American Mod

You should make a civilization for every state.
I know it would be a lot but it would be really cool for a modern civil war between the states. I suppose you could compile Rhode island, Vermont, etc into a 'New England' state or something. Maybe just regional ones, like Midwest Empire, the Rocky Mountian Empire, the Arizonan Empire, then Californian Empire ? IDK, Just a though.

That's a great idea :D. I think I'd make it modular though so my current work doesn't have to be scrapped and reworked, but I'll be sure to think of doing that :).

I think I would do it something like: New England, Midwest, Olympia, Great Plains, California Bear Flag Republic, Southwest, Gulf Zone, Southeast. Or something like that.

MLKJ spiritual and charismatic?

Something that might help: check out platypings python traits, it can make your civs more realistic

I would but then the other traits (Nationalistic, Secretive, Pacifist, Scientific, Seafaring, Agricultural, etc) would be way underpowered by comparison. However, I've seen some of his wonders and I feel like they would fit in quite nicely (Springfield Armory, World Trade Center, Empire State Building, etc.)

wonders that i can think of that would be goood: st lous arch, willis tower, area 51, golden gate bridge, ny library, and possibly use the cn tower as the seatle needle? and vegas strip

some units is minuteman and in my mod i got seal team six (the ones that took out bin laden)

Thomas Paine for Rebel/Writers? Daniel Shays for Patriots? John Marshall for Reformers? Just putting out ideas. At my school this year we're doing American history up to the 1890s :D

Any way to simply disable BUG mod? In the notifications area at the top of the screen all I see is "BugOptions- Cannot locate settings folder", and I don't get any of the normal notifications.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I'm always disappointed when I see an interesting new mod, and then realize it incorporates BUG, BULL, BAT, etc.

Let me preface this with a big "I'm not quite sure", but I believe if you go into Assets/Python you should be able to delete BUG and BUFFY. Hope this works for you :)

Writers should be done today, then I'll get Navigators done and re-release! Also thanks for so many downloads, any feedback I could use, anything overpowered or underpowered? Are there any leaders I'm missing?

I did try to get rid of BUG and BUFFY, but my attempts caused some user interfaces to be nonexistent.

I did, however, figure out how to make BUG work OK. Had to add a folder: My Games\BUG Mod\UserSettings

Then I just turned off most of the settings that make the BUG UI feel cluttered to me.

Once I made those changes, I was really able to enjoy your mod. Good stuff. I'm especially enjoying playing as John Rolfe with the new agrarian/scientific traits. That combo works so well together it almost feels overpowered. The Homesteader might be the best UU I've seen yet.

I look forward to seeing what this mod is like as it becomes more polished.

Glad you're enjoying it :). I knew Agr/Sci would be pretty powerful because food and beakers are some of the most (if not the most) important aspects of the game but the fact that it takes until Biology for most farms to get to the 4 food base to get the extra added seems fairly balanced. The Homesteader is pretty good, a self defending Settler is always appreciated. But once agin I feel it's balanced by a) higher level barbs will kill them fairly easily and b) after the city is founded you need a garisson to keep it safe, so I think it works out pretty well. I'm actually more concerned about the Expansionist UB's, as the extra food storage would be amazing for whipping (I'd imagine, haven't played too many games yet).

There, I have diplo and civilopedia for Samuel Colt, mostly just to see if I could remember how to do it (and I now realize why I hate doing diplo so much). So there are some pictures on the OP to oogle at.

EDIT: UUs and UBs for Navigators done, just not worth another post ;)

I'm thinking of merging RevDCM into the mod, I figure it's in America's "tradition" to revolt, and besides it's customizable in any case. I also think that important immigrants to the US will be put into an appropriate category instead of an immigrant category so next edition you can expect Economists, Traitors, and a couple new leaders across the board :)

Also, does anybody have the border for buttons, you may notice that the navigators(?) have ugly button borders because I used the alpha for a border (which will get fixed soon).

Be careful about merging too many other mods into your mod. A lot of the larger mods out there LOOK like a lot of fun to play, but end up with huge amounts of lag by the industrial/modern eras due to so many additions.

A few extra modcomps can surely help make your mod unique, but be careful about adding too much. Right now your mod runs very smoothly, and I'd hate to see such a wonderful mod go the way of such bloated mods like Legends of Revolution or History in the Making, both of which look intriguing, but become incredibly taxing on many computers by late game.

I completely understand your concern but I'm fairly sure most (if not all) of he features can be toggled, so you could have a stripped down version if you wanted whereas somebody else could have all the features available. I'll do some speed tests to see how big the difference is and if toggling the features off helps speed (I'd imagine it would). But I do think it would be good to offer those who want it the ability to have revolutions and other air missions etc.

EDIT: Also this
Any combination of mods within RevolutionDCM are controllable in a user interface. Any mod can be turned on or off as desired within this interface. In this way, RevolutionDCM can be hypothetically reduced down to a base BTS 3.19 core running Better BTS and BUG. RevolutionDCM uses the Better BTS AI to incorporate these high quality mods:

EDIT 2: In any case I'm not having any luck integrating it to a backup, I keep getting a crash on startup.

EDIT 3: Nevermind, it's working now :)
