The Capo
godless Heathen
Well, maybe you know this, but if I remember correctly, the Franks (especially early on) had a unique hairstyle where they'd shave half their head but keep the other half a ponytail or something like that (sort of like the Chinese ponytail except not as long). If you feel like it, you could just take away half his hair and leave some, er, shaved head or whatever. If that makes any sense.
I don't think their Kings did this though. But if you could find an image or something I could use as a basis that'd be helpful, I can't find an example of what you are talking about, although I think I have a vague idea of what you mean.
EDIT: I found this image, the guy on the left has what you are talking about, and the "pony-tail" would be in the front, so it is pretty different from a Chinese-styled one.
Spoiler :
Although this no longer seems to be the case by sixth century (when Clovis was in power) after the Franks had begun to conquer Gaul and establish a true Kingdom.
Spoiler :
Even if they did continue to wear that hairstyle, it seems that the man in the second image was probably of noble birth (I am basing this solely upon the armor) which would be the same for Clovis. Also these images are from the same book so I am assuming that if they continued using that hairstyle it would be evident in the second image as well.
