The cossacks conversion collection 2

Steph needs some help. So if you want to see these wonderful units anytime soon, please join in.
Most of the work is pretty easy, even though a bit boring, to do so anybody can do it.

Yes. Making one unit is about 1 hour of copy & paste. As there are about 100 units, making all of them for one person means almost 5 days of work 24/24!

But if 15 people help, it's only 6 hours of free time for each of them.

I've done or will do all the units from Shaun myself.

Loulong has helped a lot for the standard cossacks unit (pikes, 17c musketeer).

But we still have to do all the other cavalry units, the light infantry, the 18c grenadier and musketeer...

And also the peasants or the priests.

Send me an email at stephane.f.david@free.fr.
I can then send you a viewer and some files from Cossacks.

Then you need to make 1 screenshot for every frame of the animation, and send them back to me.

That's about 200 screenshots to do for a unit (it depends on the unit).

Hi Steph. First, sorry for my english...
I don't know how to help but i wanna be usefull...

I respect you opnion about keep this units "without" civ collors, but i think that could be one or two exceptions. Asian units are a few, so the Bachibazouk will be much more usefull with a civ collor detail, also the Turk civ units...

Anyway, amazing work. Tank you a lot!

What I don't want is to add civ color to units which are clearly already civ specific, such as the units from Shaun Baddog Fletcher (cossacks mod).

The regular cossacks units are "generic" units. They should have civ color, except perhaps a few of them (like the highlander).

So the Turks should be civ specific (because the graphics will be used for several civ : Ottoman, Egypte, etc).

However, I don't see the point of making the English musketer coat civ specific.

since the issue of civ color has been brought up again id like to resay my erlier idea about the chassuers since no one commented on it at all
I would just like to make a small suggestion regarding the Chassuer, it would be pretty accurate if he was given a green coat and not civ-specific since more-or-less all of the European country's Chassuers wore a green coat.

Hey steph do you think you could come up with some 1830's Mexican Infanrty, Cavalry, & Cossack units? I've noticed that there are none posted....they would be great flavored UUs for the Aztecs ;)

SIMPLE HELP REQUIRED

People with simple palette skills are required to finish most of these units. No need to draw anything, just toy with the palette then these lovely and numerous units will be ready.

! PLEASE HELP !

Steph.

I'm now close to finish the unit that you had send to me.
Sorry if i take to much time, i have been occupied.
At least friday i will e-mail it to you.

PS: If you wanna stimulate me, send me the Arab archer or the Turkish Light Infantry.

Generic 17c musket added.

For all forumers who have offered me there help, I'm currently processing a batch of units that will go in this thread, so I can check what's left to be done. I will contact you again as soon as I'm finished.

Side note : most of the units here will have civ color, are they are intended to ge generic.

Is the Generic 17c musket civ-specific?

P.S. English bagpipe? ;)

Generic = not civ specific = it has civ color, so it can be shared between the civ that won't have a civ specific musket.

If you want the bagpipe, send me an email, so I can send you back the viewer and the raw files, then make the copy&paste and I'll make the FLC. You want it, you work for it ;)

I MAY consider make it for you if you make nice Unit32 icons for all these little guys.

My point was, it's either a Scottish bagpipe or a British bagpipe ;)

And yes I'm making units_32 icons for these guys. Some are already in.
