If I can come up with something that stays within the forum rules(and I'm not quite sure where the boundary is so I'll stay on the safe side; I'm waiting for a ruling from Ainwood), I'll be happy to share...

Alright, I'm pretty sure this DOESN'T violate the forum rules, as I went for the original appearance of the characters and didn't add in any of my usual muscle/sexification tendencies.

Just a little concept sketch.

"Shadow, the Vessel of Vengeance
Kazma, the Fists of Fury
Kogenta, the Blade of Strife

Together, they form Los Ojos Rojos... the Red Eyed Ones."

Shadow's obviously the leader of the group, with his two little subordinates.

The result of trying to redraw my character Kansani(right) so he doesn't look like a recolor of Kogenta(left), yet the homage is still quite clear. Think Shadow and Silho.

Kansani usually has a vest of sorts on, but he prefers to have it off, so that he can show off.

..This was probably the largest sorta-reference pic I have ever done.

Also, those drawings are nice... but there's something lacking in them... shadings and shadows (not the hedgehog).

Well I did do some shading, if only crosshatching. I'll have to work on actual shadows sometime in the future...

like the drawings, reminds me a lot of VG cats for some reason. maybe I have just been lurking around that forum for too long seeing as it does not mimic the comic's style. I'd need a good rendition of Summer Glau as River kicking arse, Lara Croft or Buffy (both of them kicking arse as well) to make a final decision. we straight men need some love as well, you know

But I wish it did! I'd love to be able to pull in possibly thousands of dollars a year just drawing!

The homoerotic is my niche... the only time I ever drew females was several years ago when I had a comic that ran for almost a year or two. And boyyyy did the art suck. I hope to try a new project some day, and hopefully I can draw females that, while I can't appreciate, other people can.

Using crosshatching means it's better than anything I ever did.

No need to be so hard on yourself, Chukchi. If you think your art is bad, that's all the more reason to keep trying! Study others! Try harder! Eventually, you'll get it mostly right. ^___^

Anywho:

I sketched this out so as to not ruin the so-far-so-good cover of the first issue of a hopeful webcomic of mine. I was quite impressed with how it came out and must now go about translating it onto the cover...

The only place where I can draw is my younger brother's bedroom, and now he stays at home all day playing Call of Duty and Fifa from almost the moment he wakes up until about midnight.

The cover, finally sketched out. I'll add shading details and the necessary text later, and not sure if I'll color it or not. Probably not.

Kansani's bowing in the wrong direction, but my copout is he's bowing to where Silho was previously, and Silho's moved a bit with that little arrogant smirk of his.

Annnnd the final result. I probably won't color this, since I'm not a professional manga artist and thus don't really knowfeel the need to color the covers in like they do. Maybe some day in the future~

Anywho, I'll work on the pages of this between all my fun coursework stuff.
