I've just not been having any confidence on my DYOS work. There are times when I feel that I'd rather do a piece for dA that I know people will like it positively than have my work here seen as drivel.

He doesn't make killer G-Mod models. He makes killer Source Film Maker models! There's a difference...

I use both and both Gmod and SFM can use the same model files. They're basically the same engine on the outside.

Most likely not. June 2013 was so long ago, I didn't even know we'd had multiple WYOSes.

There were multiple WYOSes? I only know that there was only one deep in the past.

Don't fall down that path for too long. I heard dA is good if you only want positive reviews on your work. People are not really negative on matters (unless it involves vore. One or two people will complain several months after you've made an image)

Then again what do I know about the dA community these days? I got that bit of info off the SCP Foundation where they only dish out harsh criticism to writers.

The nuts and bolts need fastening, but it is, technically, functional. Editing is restricted to invited users; note that a ShoutWiki account gives you access to every public wiki (à la Wikia), so bear that in mind if you'd like a non-CFC-specific username. PM me here or through dA when you've made an account and I'll set you up with your old permissions (assuming I remember what they were ).

• Contrary to my supposition, I didn't get dumps of a) talk pages, b) site-specific pages ("DYOSWiki:"), c) categories, and d) file histories. User pages (and coincidentally most of their associated templates) are also lost.
• All files (images) will have to be reuploaded from hard copies. Everything I posted I presumably still have in my hard drive backup, and if you were smart, so do you. ShoutWiki supports more file extensions than Wikkii (notably .svg), so most real-world flags will be replaced. Anything with a '123px-' prefix will also be replaced with the full-res image, as these were accidental carry-overs from the direct-linking back at editthis.
• Because I couldn't get a proper dump file from Wikkii and the alleged manual import limit is 2 MB, I had to go and break up the files myself, then had to splinter them again when for whatever reason the import timed out only partially complete. I ended up doing about three passes to plug all the holes; a few templates are missing but most articles should be at least partially intact; contact me if there's a glaring omission and I'll quadruple-check it in the backup.

ShoutWiki also has subpages, so Expanded Universe articles are once more on the table...

In DYOS, Qara has a hot-tempered personality, but also is seen to be very well-versed in the ways of the world, despite not having any study of it. She also likes to get drunk whenever the situation suits her, which can be a problem if her friends are trying to fight for their lives. She also has a softer side towards family, children and fairies. Especially fairies.

So as I dig through the old threads for pictures and references (glob damn why can't I produce like I used to ), I should notify anyone that ever used ImageShack that pretty much all your pages are gone.

I still have tailless' 2012 backup, but since he stopped keeping a running archive anything newer than February is probably up to you.

Rehosted the Wiki (scroll up for details), patching up said Wiki, working on a page for XII, and generally nostalgia-ing super-hard over DYOS X.

Well, it's a long story for me. Lost motivation on making my contributions and I feel that there nothing but crap.

I'm not sure whether I'll start contributing to DYOS XII first or Gaben will release Half-Life 3 first.

I'm honestly just not feeling partiucularly inspired to do anything in DYOS XII right now- even putting aside that nobody else is inspired to do anything either and that's not making me particularly inspired, the plot has just seemed pretty bland for a while and it's felt like it's not going anywhere. It reminds me of the muck we got stuck in for a long time in DYOS XI, only the update pace is even slower.

Yeah, well, I lost track of the plot long ago, so I was thinking that my contribution would be either a standalone or kept for DYOS XIII. In any case I think it will be pretty self-contained.

Digging through the DYOS archives, you know how many times I started drafting a comic for a 'brand-new story'? You know how many times I actually used said comic?

OK, the respective answers are 1 and 0, but the point is If I had a dollar for every woulda-coulda-shoulda, I could quit my job and spend literally the rest of my life just comicking. DYOS today like it's your last on Earth¹, because if the rumours about GuitarHero are true, it was.
