The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Chieftess: That's lovely, I'm going to have to take a peek myself later tonight!

Sweetpete: On the desktop, go to My Documents> My Games> Oblivion and open the Oblivion.ini file.

From there, find the line "bAllowScreenShot=" and set it to 1. From then on you can take a screenshot with printscreen ingame and it saves to the Oblivion folder.

Possible sites for a city mod.

The Great Mountain City - This one has a view of the northern provinces. Could be something of a summer palace.

Canulus City - Several possible locations for it:

Left circle - There's an inn here, so I could work with that...
Central circle - Pretty much clear of places to visit. Nice place for a good sized city.
Right circle - The origanal location. Seems to be a fort right in the center, which could be a problem. Although, I could always make a Blades Guild and have that as the Blades Guild's "Training Center" for new recruits.

It'd be a nice place but I really only like mods that fit in with the lore of the game. Unless you say it was just built or something.

I wish there were mroe villages and FARMS. There aren't enough farms.

I like the great mountain city location, it could have rich summer houses in one area and a gold mine in the other which is gives rise to the town.

There's actually a lot, IMHO. Almost too many. You just have to look in every nook and cranny.

I can never seem to find Daedric and Glass armor...

Anyway, is there any way to get to the top of that tower in the Imperial City? (the one the Elder Council sits in).

And has anyone ever seen the other members of the Elder Council? It's just the chancellor sitting in there - alone.

You go there in one of the quests... I didn't come back for a second loot (yet), so I don't know if there are locks that are unpickable.

All of my enemies have daedric and glass armor just due to my level, as you gain experience the enemies get stronger and have better items and armor.

My character is at level 19, and most enemies seem to just have glass weapons. (and LOTS of 'em!) They'll also have Elven weapons, too. I did see a gladiator with a strange kind of helmet (Elven? It's the helmet that they show in one of the loading screens - there was an 'official screenshot' of it, too. It's gold and has two horns).

Anyway, I just modded the game so that I can explore the rest of that tower (not sure how to access it normally, as you need a key). Maybe I'll mod it so that you can exit the top. :)

Bandits shouldn't normaly have glass or elven weapons. Some, a lucky few but not all.

Bandits change based on your level... so if you are at that point where elven and glass weapons are common, some should.

Yeah, but not all. They are suppsoed to be A) Rare B) Expensive. Though it would explain why the ruins have lousy loot...

I think it should be the other way around.

I'll look inot the Oblivion Overhaul mod. Though I hear it's compatibility is a problem with other mods.

I decided to get round to selling the armour I was storing in my houses. Having to transport them is a devil, I'm getting loads of money though but I never use them for anything other than buying spells.

I got kicked out of the Mages guild for doing a Dark Brotherhood mission so now I need to get 10 vampire dust and 10 Daedric heart things. the dust is easy, the hearts is a bit of a pain....

In the Imperial city market distric off to the side is an alchemy shop that should have your deadra hearts. (items may be level specific)

After closing 10 Oblivion gates I had 60 daedric hearts. I think, I had already sold most of them. @Chieftess: I can have the grass on, and I do like and will try it out next time I am here.

The guy who seems to have the most money to sell things to, from what I've seen, is the guy in anvil just right of the main entrance, who has 1200 gold to sell per item.

Once you up your mercantile skill to the point where you can sell anything to him, you make a hefty profit.

And has anyone else finished the game yet? At the end the chancellor promises you armor, but I never got any... do I have to talk to someone else to get it?
