The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

I decided to get round to selling the armour I was storing in my houses. Having to transport them is a devil, I'm getting loads of money though but I never use them for anything other than buying spells.

I got kicked out of the Mages guild for doing a Dark Brotherhood mission so now I need to get 10 vampire dust and 10 Daedric heart things. the dust is easy, the hearts is a bit of a pain....

If your level is high enough - 19, you start finding Daedric-type enemies. (I found one around a fort, so you could check there).

I suppose the best way to progress through each guild is:

Fighter's Guild (complete it first) -> Dark Brotherhood -> Thieve's Guild (I think you may have to fight a member of the Mage's Guild) -> Mage's Guild.

And has anyone else finished the game yet? At the end the chancellor promises you armor, but I never got any... do I have to talk to someone else to get it?
You need to wait two weeks.

I think you get a quest log update when the time is up too.

But then you just go to the armory (which is just another little house), enter it and find the armor lying around, and pick it up yourself.

I just went and closed some Oblivion Gates. That got my heart stock up. The main pain was getting the Vampire Dust, in the end I had to keep going back and forth to that Castle NW of Anvil where you have to go to find out about the old Grand Champion of the Arena. the good thing about Vampires are, they stock up on weapons good. I've now got a full suit of Glass armour

I'm gonna do the Mages guild next so I can get my magic up, the finish with the Fighters Guild.

I'm tempted to start up a new character, a female this time, but that's just cause I'm a geek

One of the thieves guld quests results in you cleaning up a vampire family in the Imperial City, that was an interesting quest.

I screwed up the Ultimate Heist and had to use the console to get the scroll :(

I screwed that one up first as well. I didn't understand why when I followed the woman who said hello they attacked me. it turned out I needed to sit at the desk. Pft

I'm surprised the Grey Fox is not wanted for muder/death of a guard(s), well, he is now, since they auto attack me (after annoyingly grabbing my attention).

EDIT: Don't fast tavel straight to Wenynen priory when you are delivering Martin, always travel to a ways away and apporach, otherwise you will have to attack the sheperd and chase him C distance away before he turns to you and talks and triggers the attack.

I just noticed something. In Morrowind and Oblivion, you don't see any kids. Everyone's an adult... (ok, maybe some that would count as teens, but never kids).

Yeah, there is a children mod for Morrowind but I am not aware of one in Oblivion. I don't know why there aren't... unless they just don't want to have to deal with the rating for a game in which you can kill chidren.

Yea everyone is okay with demonic writing, skulls, severed heads, hanging corpses, but no god forbid we could kill little children. Children are the devil!

I actually thought about that too. No children is weird

I was actually playing Prey yesterday and the bit where the children gets killed is kinda weird.

I'm finally back in the Mages Guild. I actually had more problems getting Vampire Dust but going hunting in caverns for vampire bandits does the trick rather well. got alot of cool stuff as well.

Now I'm a mage with a cracking staff to use, Destruction all the way heh.

Has anybody else seen a unicorn?
I found this one in the middle of the forest.
I wanted to take it as my own horse, and i could ride it.
But when i left it at a stable it just wandered of into the forest again..

Yes, but it attacked me while I was attacking a bear...

Have you also noticed that, for all the sewers in the Imperial City, there's no toilets?

Yeah, it struck me one time while standing in my waterfront house..
Where whould i go to do my business? Then i realized i've never seen a toilet... But miles and miles of sewer, suuuure.

The belda elysium mod has a manor with a bathroom though...

There is still no toilet. Only a bathtub. I think.

Yeah, FPS games have them sometimes. That often annoys me, in books too (sort of not so much the toilets in books but more so in games). Also, in a book I read, the charactor was used to dental care from a futureestic society, but is living on a medieval world (Darkover), and doesn't complain about the lack of the tooth brush...
