Not the way I think of individualism. I consider myself an individualist, but I don't think I'm "better" than anyone else--I just believe in individual liberty versus "mob rule", as long as individuals do not use force on, or defraud, anyone else.
As a matter of fact, some of the most glaring examples of evil in our history were assaults on the most basic individual liberties--from slavery to Hitler to Stalin to the SLORC junta of Burma (Myanmar, but Aung San Suu Kyi still calls it Burma, therefore so do I).... And of course, the Taliban....
What you must be thinking about in terms of "individualism" is perhaps "cult of personality"--i.e. megalomania.... I wouldn't lump that in with individualism though, since I think of individualism as liberty for ALL individuals, not the power of ONE.
