Just bought Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator and I'm having a blast with it. Anyway, I decided to set up a tournament where all the different combatants duke it out for supremacy. I've seeded them 1 through 30 (I left out Chuck Norris because they made him waaaaay OP to the point he'd win the tournament every time) according to their overall strength. I also added a twist: The lower the seed, the more numbers that combatant will get in battle. For example: currently the Giant Cyclops is my number 3 seed so they might get 300 in their first round matchup against the 30 seed which are medieval footmen. Those footmen might get something like 3000 to compensate for their weakness. Those aren't the exact numbers I'll be using, but it illustrates the point. That should make the tournament a little more even and fun to watch. Battles will also increase in size the further into the tournament we get with the first round being pretty small and the finals being a truly epic battle.

Here's where you guys come in: I'll be recording each battle and uploading them to YouTube and posting them here. I'll also post a screenshot of the bracket and you all can make your predictions as to who you think is going to win each match. Scoring will be done on a per-ound basis and I will post the standings and an updated bracket at the end of each round. The point values for each round are listed at the bottom of this post. The winner will get to pick a new signature text and avatar for me. It can be whatever you want it to be (obviously it must conform to site rules though) and I'll keep that signature and avatar for a whole year. Picks must be in by 2359 Eastern Standard Time (US & Canada) June 6th if you wish to participate. You can either post them here or PM them to me, it doesn't matter.

Okay, I think I've covered most everything, so without further ado, here's the bracket:

And here's how much each correct pick is worth for each round:

Round 1: 2 points
Round 2: 4 points
Round 3: 8 points
Semi-Finals: 16 points
Final: 32 points

Until I read through the rules, all the money on spartans.

The Spartans are seeded 29th?

All money on the spartans

Roman Legions all the way.

Spearman uber alles !

These battlefield sim games are rather shallow, and you'll probably find out after playing all the units once. Its fun watching giant zombie hordes but only the first time

You guys do know to predict the entire bracket, right.

That's where your imagination comes in. If you only spend your time smashing two armies together then yeah, it's going to get boring real fast. I've been doing little scenarios to keep things interesting. For example: I set up a battle that was based on the opening cinematic from Resident Evil 3.

Right, winners: Dwarf, Golden Knight, Persian, Spartan, Spearman, Giant Ogre, Roman, Santa, Orc, German Soldiers, Giant Cyclops, Cavalry, Zombie, US soldier.

The Spartans are seeded 29th?

You're shock here made me reevaluate the seeding to see if I actually got it right according to my own methodology. I didn't. A new bracket will be coming shortly.

EDIT: New bracket is now up in the first post. Adjust your picks accordingly. Also, to assist in making your picks, here are the chances each combatant has to win the entire tournament:

Elven Huntress: 40.27%
Catapult: 21.15%
T-Rex: 9.46%
Soul Tyrant: 5.22%
Giant Cyclops: 4.76%
German Soldier: 3.99%
Golden Knight:3.03%
Archer: 2.61%
US Soldier: 2.52%
Giant Ogre: 1.82%
Cavalry: 0.51%
Dresser: 0.43%
Orc: 0.43%
Heavy Knight: 0.42%
Spartan: 0.41%
Wild Man: 0.34%
Dwarf: 0.30%
Table: 0.29%
Tortoise: 0.29%
Kangaroo: 0.28%
Santa: 0.27%
Runner Zombie: 0.20%
Skeleton Warrior: 0.18%
Footman: 0.18%
Persian: 0.15%
Zombie: 0.15%
Spearman: 0.14%
Roman: 0.13%
Penguin: 0.05%
Chicken: 0.02%

I will post adjust chances of winning it all at the beginning of each round.

EDIT2: I also adjusted how I'm going to do the number of troops for each side during the battles. I can't reveal the methodology as that would make it easy for anyone here with the game to just run the battles themselves and easily predict the outcomes. It still follows the same basic principle in the OP though. Weaker opponents will be given a numerical advantage to make the battles less lopsided and more unpredictable/fun to watch.

What's the deal with 15 and 19? Who are the Huntresses and Catapults attacking?

They get a bye round. They don't have a fight on the first round, and play the winner of a particular match on round two (spartan vs table for catapults, wild man vs dwarf for Huntress)

What Omega said. It's due to having only 30 competitors in the tournament. If there were just two more competitors then there would have been no need for anyone to have a first round bye. That bye they get is also part of the reason their chances of winning it all are much higher than anyone else.

My picks for the first round are the following

Dwarf
Persian
US Soldier
Soul Tyrant
Orc
Cyclops
Santa
Spartan
Golden Knight
Skeleton Warrior
T-Rex
Heavy Knight
German Soldier
Calvary

Vincour's picks:

Snerk, this is a reminder to adjust your picks for the updated bracket.
