Uploaded mod in its current state and attached it to the first post, just unpack to MODS folder in your documents. (Also copy the map into the Maps folder in My Games/Civilization 5)

Remember this is version 0.9 alpha of just the North America part, there are some bugs unfortunately.

Ok, I'm going to spam you with questions, because this may be the mod I've been looking for.
1) Are the leaders going to have their own leaderheads? (I.E., I don't want to contact the Huron and see Gandhi)
2) Will the civs be playable in regular games, or just with the scenario?
3) Mesoamerica is almost entirely in North America. Any possibility of adding Central America? (by the way, I do have a map of Mesoamerica from a mod I failed to make, if you want it. Terrain needs to be reworked, but it's otherwise fine)
4) Clearly not the goal, but would some more modern civs be added? (I.E., I would like to see Costa Rica and Brazil, they and other colonial powers could be conflicts in a scenario)

Now for suggestion spamming
1) I'd keep monty as the Mexica leader, just add in some of the other Nahua Civs.
2) Two of the abilities (Dream Catcher and Sun Dance) are too similar to existing abilities. I understand the problems with modding new abilities, but I would like to see some more changes.
3) I don't know about anyone else, but I prefer .zip files, because I know I can post and use them with extra software.
4) I don't know if he's still active, but I'd look at borrowing Optik's civs. The grammar's a little funky from translation, but (I feel) that they're the best additional civ mods out their, currently.

And, I'd like to join the team! I'm not great at modding (though I can do a little xml, for units primarily), but I am good at mapmaking, could do research, and probably will have several ideas for civs/units/etc. (esp. for Mesoamerica).

Well i really love the idea :), i will be interested to do research for the north american civ that were invilved with french like the Huron-Wendat, the montagnais or the innus.

I can do littel XML but im not really good

And i will love to make map :)

Hope other people like me and cioasis will enjoy this great idea :goodjob:

P.S Suggestion will come later im on my ipod

First 5 are definitely possible, may even be able to subdivide the Maya into another 3-4 civs (Itza, Saal, Whatever the name of Pakal's region was, etc.)

As for the map, mine extends farther north and west, but includes all of that.

Some terrain, esp. mountain ranges, need editing, and I never put in some more southernly rivers.

I think some Central American (Which I'm going to define as the 7 countries on the isthmus) civs would be nice, but I'm not sure how much could be done with pre-colonial ones, in some areas.

CivOasis,

1) If you're talking about the 3D leaderheads, it's not likely, and as far as I know, the only way to add new ones is from cIV, which doesn't have many if any of the Leaders in this mod.

2) As of now they are, but I'm intending on having multiple scenarios for each area of the Americas.

3) It's more of a cross between the two, but a lot of Civs fit into the Meso/Central America area.

4) Eventually there will be some interesting colonial aspects - but the first maps will be simply "what-if" scenarios, and the what-if being, what if the Europeans left the New World alone?

Now for suggestion spamming

1) Montezuma will remain likely, but new Minor Civilizations might need to be added to some areas of North America (Maybe 2 more Civs?)

2) I'll look into some possible changes to Traits

3) I'll get a head count on "RAR vs ZIP" :)

4) I'll look into Optik's availability for the project.

As for the team, anyone interested, add me to MSN please. :)

Montagnais (Innu-aimun) were a sub-group of the Innu, so technically they're already included ;)

I would like some more Civs or Minor Civs for the North American maps if you could possibly come up with two good ones for Civs, and doesn't matter how many more for Minor Civilizations, we're at 12 Civs and 10 Minors, just for the NA map.

For the leaderheads, I was referring to the type of leaderhead Optik has in his mods (I feel that they are the distinguishing feature of those mods, and I think they are .dds files, but, honestly, I have no idea how he makes them)

As for the contact for the team, might I suggest wordpress? You don't actually need an account to post, it appears to be relatively widely used for other mod projects, and, best of all, others can give advice or ideas as they come (like here, but with more freedom in page design, etc.)

I'll have to speak with Optik, see if he can either help, or fill us in on some ideas.

I know the icons for all the Civs need work, I'm at my wits end with them, haha.

I'll go look at wordpress right now, see how it works.

Navajo and Hopi for N.America?

Navajo are included in the Athabaskan civ, though I may split them into Navajo and Apache as two separate Civilizations.

Maybe instead of the Hopi, include the Pueblo people, who the Hopi and Zuni descended from?

Pueblo people would work, but are there any known leaders? (I wouldn't really know, in this case)
Alternately, the Cherokee or Cree people (I apologize if they were already included with another group).

I'm going to re-do all the Civilization logos in high-res, right now. Stop this graphics massacre dead in its tracks, haha. :)

Cherokee might be a good idea, as they were located between the Iroquois and the Muskogean people, which I need some kind of divider between to stop them from always ending up at war.

Cree is actually part Innu, but I think they're different enough to include, and a Civilization is needed near the Ojibwe, they're kind of lonely haha.

I know you said you were going to get a better idea on the files, but could you post a .zip, so that I can actually see what's in the files? I can't open them, at the moment.

Yes, give me a few minutes, I'll upload it now.

Sorry, was working on the Pueblo logo, it's intriguing to say the least, haha.

A while back, I tried making a Mayan civ. I couldn't get it to work, but Optik provided me a leaderhead (on this site) for it, so, if you could fit the parts together, that could be used (possibly in conjunction with Optik's in the scenarios, because there aren't any similarities beyond culture and a few cities. Different units, different leaders, different UA's

Ok im on that

The Cree should be add as a civilization, their language is the more spoken in north america, and they were a great commercial partner for the fur trade.

There is a link to their wikipedia page you will found at the end a list of their greatest chief

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cree

Theirs is a picture of their territory and their sub-division language spoken
