**NATION: FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF JAPAN - Toteone
POLITICAL ALIGNMENT: Democracy
INDUSTRAL LEVEL: 3
PRUDUCTION: 81 PPs
ARMY:
6 REGULAR DIVISIONS
1 MECH DIVISION
NAVY:
18 TASKGROUPS
GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS:
Education: Complete
Agriculture: Complete
Health: 10/81
RESEARCH:
Chemical Weapons Program: 2/25

Send 81 PP's to U.S. to help finish the Education project.

Just thought I'd inform ya, the U.S. could of course SEND IT AWAY as the money is a part of the Wilsonian plan, but wouldn't that be such a bother?

[ooc] Sooooo.... why doesn't we all just heap up the money in the Wilsonian project, rush the nuclear yomping in America and then ICBM the whole world in an update or two.

I think the obvious reason is either this kind of research has to be done one at a time or noone wants nuclear obliteration of just the fascists and commies or vice verca and therefore does not. Or noone thought of it. Skuhz like, if the U.S. got ahead of the rest of the world through the Wilsonian program there's nothing the rest of the world could do before the fascists/commies get 600-700 ICBM's in tha head thus obliterating every major city. Woo000hhhh aaaahhh
Guess I'm the only one crazy enough to think outside the block,
good thing I'm not U.S. wouldn't suit me...
China on the other hand would be good, yeeeeeppp
I'd be like invading small nations, whatevah
cya around =^_^= just curious why we're not nuking
my guess is the game would be less fun, I agree with that [/ooc]

good thing I'm not U.S. wouldn't suit me...

I cannot describe how difficult it is to be the US in this game. I am using every trick in the book of someone who's been here since Das's first game and I am struggling.

To: Allies

If the Soviets keep promoting rebels in Quebec and terrorists in Persia we are going to have to do something about it. It makes me sad to see them so dedicated to starting a war.

Sincerely,

President Williams, United States

To America
From the EC

we fear tehy are also supporting rebelion in Algeria and thus we support you in any action you take regarding this situation.

Dearest Free World

In the present crisis we will need all nations to contribute everything to the Williams Plan in order to secure our interests as the Free World.

Sincerely,

President Williams, United States

In other words ALL countries send ALL your money to the progrem. Otherwise the progrem will never know how much it has to spend and could never work.

I sent all my money to the U.S. education program. The U.S. will have to specifically reorder the money [ooc] with Staling [/ooc] to do anything about it. I'm not sure if I should be sorry... the last spat hurt me! [ooc] *lol* [/ooc]

What are we going to do about Saudi-Arabia and should I send my fleet there to support? Perhaps we should build up a lot of army-units there from the Wilsonian plan.

Korea requests enough money to send the first Free World memeber into space. We need only 128 pps to do so. We invite any man or women the U.S sends to participate with us in this venture.

I think war is more important of space, and we got only 666PP's to spend IF everyone send all.

Japan would like to point out to India, just for the sake of it, that in the years past we have actually given out a load of PP's that cost us future production that we just got back through aid, and gave away again. ;)

I have just joined as Mexico. Anything going on important that i should be awware of?

[ooc] You're really poor, but if you play the role of a fuzzbudget you should get back into the track quite fast. ;) [/ooc]

Japan proposes we spend the roughly 450 PP's we need to up the U.S. economy to 243 next round. This will advance the free world economy total by 162, thus keeping the lead on the fascist who are going to advance by 108 PP's. The rest of the money I deem we should spend on Saudi-army forces, or maybe just half and use our home armies so we can save another 100 PP's for ensuring our lead on the fascists.

to Japan:
A realy bad idea. If you havn't noticed the Persian menace is part of the communists. India (and Korea and Japan) is surounded by them... Not only Arabia is in risk, and not only USA should get to grow their economy, we will grow the economy probably the same if we spend it on many countries rather than 1 that is already very strong and advanced.

To: Korea

The search for scientific glory is a noble one and should well be pursued, however in times of threat such as these we have little choice but to move to defend ourselves instead. The Space Program will be completed as soon as the present crisis is resolved.

To: Japan

Economic benefit is a noble cause, but it must take the back seat to military preparation in such times as we live. Furthermore the US would rather see her allies who are not even to 81 PP's yet assisted than siezing all itself.

From: Japan
To: the U.S.

My economical analysts are advising me that the most efficient way of boosting the Free World economy would be to maximise the U.S. economy rather then spreading it around piecemeal on the weaker nations.

Example
The Free World would end up spending most of it's money on upgrading nations like Brazil, Peru, SEAC and South Korea and Saudi-Arabia with a rise in income only roughly 86% of the return it would have on the U.S., not to mention these are more 'risky' investment on the other side of the atlantic and pacific wall in more easily conquered trouble spots. The only foreseeable appreciable effect [from Japan's point of view and knowledge of security situation], other then happy allies, would be jealous North Korean civilians wanting for a reunion. Not that the government would most likely let them.

Also, economic gain is compoundable by re-investment and therefore a priority of utmost importance. Japan believes the Free World should spend roughly 550 PP's on this (counting out story-PP's, I already spent mine).

The (Democratic) Federation of Japan
[ooc] At least until I get that 243 PP's cheque from Germany. :D 'kiddin ye know [/ooc]

PS. Also, on a side note the Free World needs a strong U.S.A. to lead it. Perhaps the Free World does not remember the world news regarding the possible shift of the weight in leadership from Washington to other democratic nations, like say, the E.C. with the 'Janus' mech and the growth of the fascist party in Brazil. Japan recommends that the comitee leaders consider these relevant facts and postpone the build-up of potentially neutral or fascist/-commie nations a round with promises of the next that are fulfilled in time as has been tradition that they usually are.

The Japanese people approve of your ballistics program. Simply do not aim your prototype rockets to the southeast and we will be very happy. :nuke:
