Now i only need to model the centerpiece for the large towns, so as to finish the byzantine set, in record time since it seems very easy for me to model greek churches :)

I have two candidates for modelling. Both are from Constantinople. They are the Hagia Sophia (Holy Wisdom) and the Hagioi Apostoloi (Holy Apostles).

Both of these are quite deadly to make. I guess the holy Apostles is easier because it has the same thing repeating over and over. But its shape may be a problem for the set, since it expands too much in lengh and therefore it must be shrinked, something which may ruin the details.

Ok, time to vote! ;)

Hagia Sophia because more people are familiar with it.....To be honest I didn't know what the Hagioi Apostoloi was exactly

I voted for the Hagioi Apostoloi because the Hagia Sophia is clearly something that should exist only in Constantinople. As others have already pointed out, its the more familiar of the two, and therefore the one that you shouldn't see popping up in every major city across the map.

There are two other churches in this set that exist only, historically, in one city. The Hagia Sophia of Thessalonike (left special building in size #2) and the Hagia Eirene of Constantinople (right special building in size #2). So it shouldnt be a problem to have the hagia Sophia there imo, on that grounds :)

I'd vote for Hagioi Apostoloi.

I vote for Sophia, just because it seems to be a symbol of orthodox world. That's why other orthodox states built Sophias as a symbols of their power. Sophias in Kiev, Novgorod, Polatsk, the biggest orthodox temple (in Serbia) is alike to Hagia Sophia. So ...
