Well, i have never seen an episode of the history channel's celebrated series "Ancient Aliens". However i certainly have seen more than a hundred times the picture of its presenter and main force behind this series...
I was a bit- but not entirely- surprised to learn that he is Greek. He was born in Switzerland, and later emigrated to the USA where he achieved infamy with that aforementioned show.
I gather from the wiki article that his main thesis is that aliens are possibly behind virtually all human civilization. He got his university degree from a New York college called "Ithaca" (quite aptly), it was a Bachelor degree in "sports information and communication".
I did not even know such a degree existed, let alone its tenuous relevance to being an authority on ancient aliens, although i could easily accept that most american athletes live in another universe.
He is 35 years old, and here is his most famous image:
It is ussually befouled with some witticism, almost always in the form of a first statement or question, followed by the answer or reflection that it was about aliens.
