The "I Got A New Game!" Thread

Goat Simulator is a parody of bad sim games, good joke but usually doesn't provide mode people with hours of fun since it is very short.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 is pretty decent as an actual simulator, it is relaxing and has a pretty decent build your own trucking business from the ground up gameplay in it.

Flight sims are pretty self explanatory. I don't know of any other sims that are good or don't suffer from a terribly low budget.

Wait is Euro Truck Sim basically just Patrician but with trucks instead of ships?

So is it just driving around real time in your one vehicle?

Shadorun Returns is $1.69 CAD on Steam today, so I got that finally. Such a low prices it almost feels like I just stole something, plus I used Steam credit so it was practically free.

The Crew. The story is just as stupid as you'd expect and yeah the racing physics are kind of off but I've gotten used to them and it's just fun driving across a digital replica of America.

I'm a sucker for games that reproduce large areas of a country, gimme a break!

Finished The Banner Saga, took about 10 hours I'd guess. On normal. More less was a 9/10 game for me until
(spoiler: People will die, does not tell whom)
Spoiler :
a "lets force a cutscene to show someone being killed even though there is absolutely no way they could have been that close since they were behind the entire rest of my guys and the enemy was literally just shown falling back across the battlemap" which dropped it to a 7/10 (with help from "lets kill off characters that you just spent a whole bunch of points upgrading, and take their item with them).

Really cool world though, very fun gameplay, some interesting characters although I wish there was more time to explore the world and characters. Some of them aren't around for long (you are kind of in a rush so it makes sense), and I really wish it was longer too. The battle system is pretty neat too.

Still, looking forward to the sequel.

I feel absolutely compelled to ask who I shouldn't spend resources on.

I haven't read the above in depth but shouldn't those posts be in spoiler tags? Particularly in a thread about buying new games rather than the "I completed a game" thread.

I put a spoiler tag around it and removed when it happens, it shouldn't actually spoil anything.

I feel absolutely compelled to ask who I shouldn't spend resources on.

Most of them depend on choices you make, and you will still use them in a number of battles so it wasn't entirely wasted. You should still be able to make it through the game regardless, I don't think it will actually completely screw you over. As annoying as it is, it is only really a few people that were a "waste" and I'd say it is definitely worth going in blind the first time despite it. Some of them are a big surprise.

A second playthrough, which I definitely will do eventually, I will know how to plan it out better but even though some of the battles were challenging I only lost like three.

I know I should go in blind, and I will, but my munchkin half is trying really hard to get me to google it.

On my very first playthrough of KotoR II, I gave Kreia the Two-Weapon fighting feat at 1st-level. That went down well...
