Question:

I found an "anniversary edition" of a newspaper that republished articles throughout several years. Should I list it under the original date of the article or the anniversary edition date?

Me and some friends are making some games. What kind of stuff could we do to copy protect it? Nothing too fancy, just enough to deter the average guy from copying the game on a flash drive and putting it on another computer or something of the sort.

You're going to have trouble with game-making if you're asking such high-level questions as this.

Easy answer: Publish on Steam.

Well I'm not the main programmer yet. We have a mini-business of three people now and I am doing mostly managing things. I thought about Steam, but it wouldn't be the best option for us really. Their not really "Steam Quality" per say. Most of our games are free games; however we are going to make a few paid games to raise some money. We need to get out of the realm of free website and forum hosting so we could do things more of the way we want.

What I was hoping is if there was a piece of software that could achieve my goal automatically. It wouldn't need to stop hackers or anything, but just normal users. They're are only going to be a dollar or too anyway.

A license key, perhaps, but that would be a pain to do if you're only gonna get a few bucks. If you have an email server you could probably set it up to automatically generate a key upon purchase and email it.

It is normal to shake your head at your younger self for doing foolish things after realizing the fact?

Do you mean looking back at past actions and being embarrassed by them? It's pretty common. A certain amount of self-examination is a good thing. It helps you realize how you have grown and matured over the years.

It's probably a complete waste of time to be too embarrassed by anything when you were a small child though. Just look at those things as the funny little aspects of being a kid.

Question: I was searching the U.S. Copyright site for something (better left unexplained). I got the copyright holder name but theres a lot of results. Is there some way to search within the results?

EDIT: Link http://copyright.gov/records/

Does installing alternative, more detailed body textures to Sims games, specifically the ones that depict the naughty bits, and removing the censor from your copy of Sims, make it pornography, from a legal standpoint?

So what exactly did Steve Jobs do to "make the world a better place"? I usually think of that phrase in such terms as disease cures that save the lives of millions, not designing consumer electronics that aren't even affordable by the vast majority of the world's population.

Herp Derp says: iPods

Well that can't be it. Why didn't the guy who invented the Walkman get this much recognition when he died?

Because he wasn't followed by what can be considered a cult.

CEOs often get cred/blamed for the welfare of a company: If it goes bad, they take the blame (even if they might not have been to blame really), and vice-versa.

So think of some of the stuff that Apple accomplished, like, for example, making the first commercially successful computer to have a mouse instead of a command interface.

But yeah, it's probably a little far-fetched to suggest that he was some Messiah...

So I was laying in bed when I got a creepy feeling that something was watching me. What was the name of the feeling I was experiencing I know it wasn't paranoia it was something else.

Night terror or sleep paralysis?

I was watching you. It's not paranoia if it's true. That's what I always tell people.

Anybody know what specific locales (if any, since real-life locations might not lend themselves to game balance easily) in Paris does the Battlefield 3 beta map Operation Metro occur?

He was also a great philanthropist and donated a huge amount of money to charity.
