Honestly people usually go crazy on the icing and elevating. Although it's good at first, because you could have too much swelling, it eventually does nothing good, maybe even bad things. While it slows swelling like your probably thinking it also slows blood flow. They swell for a reason, increased blood flow and other healing stuff and decreased mobility.

Napoleon wasn't all that bad when it came to social policy.

Should I actually be citing "Plato, 2002" in an essay, or am I doing something wrong? It doesn't seem entirely right.

Has there ever been a benevolent dictator, as in one who actually tried to do good for the country?
There's a few examples in post-colonial countries that might count- off the top of my head, I'd give Simón Bolivar, Gamal Abdel Nasser and Fidel Castro as examples, although lord knows that they're open for debate. I couldn't think of any outside of the post-colonial context that I'd call "benevolent", though, at least without delving into some pretty ancient history.

Well, compared to the Bourbons. He was a bit of a step backwards from the more liberal periods of the revolution, particularly for women and blacks.

What sorts of foods can make your urine turn unnatural colors?

Cincinnatus is the textbook example, but most 'political' dictators - basically, Soviet-style leaders rather than revolutionaries - think they're doing the best they can for their country, which has to be admired regardless of what you think of their politics. Fidel Castro's a man I hugely respect for his complete committment to his country over himself.

I worded that carefully. Notice I didn't use the word good. :p

Would anyone with English as his/her mother tongue care to do a quick grammar check on a piece of text I wrote? Contact by PM if you want to do your Good Deed of the Day. :)

E: ignore this post, no need for proofreading anymore :)

Cincinnatus was also notably a morality tale, the veracity of which must be viewed with a jaundiced eye.

Quick question: I'd like to buy a magazine on eBay. I have a choice between 3 and I can't pick. A coin has only 2 sides so how do I pick?

pair two of the magazines together for the first coin toss. If heads, you then have to flip again between those two, but if tails then you just go with the third. If it WAS heads, you now flip the coin between those two that were previously heads.

Alternatively, go ask your mom to randomly pick a number between 1 and 3 inclusive.

Alternatively, buy the first one you saw.

Well I just closed my eyes and pointed at the monitor and I bought it thanks anyways :)

Question for students in college or university: Last year I had an awful time because my college sent me tons of useless emails about stuff I didn't care about. Is this specific or does it happen to other schools?

Am I the only one here who thinks that absolutely everything has become far too predictable?

Yes. Try something different this weekend. Like rock-climbing.

Go outside, walk down the sidewalk, and the first girl you come upon, no matter what, ask her out.

Should throw a wrench in predictability.
