Are you drunk Mr.B?

No. I don't honestly think so. I haven't drunk any alcoholic beverage for about...er...4 months...I think. Not for any particular reason.

Why do you ask?

I do drink milk, yes. Cashews too, before you ask?

Do you like sardines?

Why, certainly. Sardines (like all oily fish) are extremely good for you - and also cheap. You must have come across them, surely. They come in little tins in either oil or tomato sauce. I favour the oil myself. You can get them whole and fresh as well. But that's much more expensive - unless you live next to a harbour where they land them. Pilchards are good too. But are really just grown up sardines. Also cheap. Sild are not that nice. But I digress further, than I should perhaps, into the world of oily tinned fish.

Am I the only one who gets paranoid when I get a notice in my e-mail telling me of a new forum pm and think that I just got myself a new infraction, even though the fear eventually proves unfounded (sometimes :mischief: )?

inb4 someone tries to be clever. ;)

EDIT: More serious question: The first election after I turned 18 was the 2004 Presidential election. I registered and voted ASAP. Problem is, 8 years later, I forgot which political party I identified myself with. How do I find out?

If my family are standing around enjoying a purple and green sunset, am I just being really negative by pointing out it's pollution? People seem to think I should just zip it.

To be frank, I think you should. In that situation. Doesn't it just subtract from your family's enjoyment?

On the other hand, if your awareness leads you to do something about combating pollution, in other (non-familial) situations, I think it's a very good thing.

Contexts can be very important, IMHO.

I don't check my emails often, but I do notice it on the right side of my screen here. And in my case it usually is an infraction. Although less so since the forums split. I haven't had one in a long time actually... Every time I see a private message indicator, I know it's something bad.

Never seen a purple and green sunset. I guess it's good we don't have that kind of pollution then. See, that's an example of positive thinking. Yes people don't like negative statements such as yours, even though they are truthful, and could cause people to take action against lack of government regulation on the environment. But there's a time and a place for everything, and that wasn't it.

Yup. That's me. Everytime. I say to myself "WhateverhaveIdonenowOMGwhatdidIsayargggh...oh... that's OK, then. Phew!"

It's family dude. If you can't be yourself around them then who else can you be? I bet they would actually be disappointed if you didn't do you're "negative at sunsets and general cynical guy" routine. It would upset the whole family dynamic.

Arm in arm with a hot yet dumb chick, one step away from finally bringing matters to a head?....well then just nod in agreement and bask in the beauty of Gods purple and green goodness. And besides, if under these circumstances it still makes you cringe to not speak your mind, well your paid your dues by telling your folks how it really is and now get to reap the rewards.

Just turn off e-mail notification and check subscribed threads.
Well, I have this turned off, to be precise. So I was just referring to my reaction to the PM notifications that I see here when I'm logged in. I can't see any round the panic I feel every time there's a little bold "1" showing there.

And I don't subscribe to threads. I used to. But nowadays I just check all the ones I'm interested in. Which kind of restricts me to the Tavern really. Hmmm. I keep thinking of changing my tactics. Like throwing the computer out of the window.

Sorry, my bad: I misread... I get that exact same jolt.

Of course I care, Mr E. But, to be honest, not very much. Why? Is it important?
