Even cheaper is trawling round crowded bars drinking other people's drinks. Better if you see them leave first of course. But not entirely necessary. I am told.

I thought the object of the endeavor was to make friends, not creep everybody at the bar the hell out.

Less creepy than putting fluid INto their cup, one supposes. But drinking a man's beer around here? First time they'll probably laugh and think you are having a very good night. 2nd time they'll be annoyed, 3rd time you probably wind up with some mild physical trauma.

Well, you got me! I was just following Mr Q's economical line of thought there.

It's a technique that needs considerably care and best used only minutes before everyone leaves. Drinking from the slop trays can be done. For the subtler practitioner.

But real alcoholics think nothing of going into hospitals and drinking the alcoholic hand rub. What a scandal!

So why hasn't Mr Quackers done it yet? And who's his replacement should he not?

Anyway, I want to ask a serious question. Why is derailing considered immoral?

You want a thread on what exactly?
You got to make me love it first before I can commit it to a solid thread.

Come on, where's the new thread?

Another question: how do you react when you know someone self-mutilates? (That's what it's called, right?)

Talk to someone who knows more about this.
Don't ask for help here, there's nobody here who can give professional advice.
If you have no clue whom to ask, then call the crisis line (that should be possible in an anonymus way), ask your doctor or your priest. At least one should be possible to say something.

Why hasn't this thread been locked yet?

Ghostwriters gay marriage thread is floating in the same boat and they haven't locked that either. Mods really need to get with it. ;)

The mods aren't obligated to lock threads at 1000 posts. We only continue the tradition with serialized threads out of habit. There are many threads (for example the skyrim thread in other games, and the money thread in the chamberpot) which have well exceeded 1000 posts.

True, but with two versions of the same thing open, it seems a bit silly.

Moderator Action: That's why the old ones get moved to the archive.
New one here.
