She's either obviously interested or you're one of her best friends.

When a girl invites you back to her country, offers to let you stay at her house and even offers to drive you around everywhere so you can see the sights, and when I asked if she was being serious she replied with "yes," being very serious... Is this a sign of interest?

Yes, although if in the middle of this she decides she doesn't like you, expect a sudden introduction to her "boyfriend".

Why is it that bullying is suddenly a BIG BIG BIG BIG ISSUE when it is sent via the internet? Does the means it is transmitted by really make it worse?

In my day, a gentleman did that to a lady shortly before proposing...

School bullying at least is confined to school; bullying on the internet, which children increasingly carry in their pockets, can be impossible to get away from.

Maybe this:
Because ermahgerd cybernetspace protect the childern :run:

suburban moms.

Possibly also that the bullying message may be saved in digital or hard copy and thus more easily provable. That and the well-known effect wherein anonymity makes bullies much more aggressive and mean.

Yes but it's very frustrating because when I was bullied IN REAL FRIKKIN LIFE I was told to "ignore it." WHICH IS KIND OF $&$*&#*(ING HARD TO DO WHEN THEY ARE SHOVING YOU INTO WALLS AND SUCH, HMMMM?

AND ISN'T THERE AN IGNORE BUTTON ON PRETTY MUCH ALMOST EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA AVAILABLE?

SO WHY IS IT SUDDENLY A BIG ISSUE AND EVERYONE IS DEMANDING LAWS OVER IT WHEN THE SAME PEOPLE DIDN'T CARE WHEN IT HAPPENED IN REAL LIFE?

Rant over.

Serious question. I thought women were subtle creatures. This is as subtle as a car crash. And I still don't get it. :ack:
What nationality is she?

It's becoming more prevalent now, therefore more people recognize it.
That's it.

I'm pretty insensitive, so I have no clue about what women think :D, but I'd disagree with the others (...and I'm probably wrong).
It would also be possible that you're good friends. Can happen fast, so an extended time span is not necessarily needed.

The girl next door is also as subtile as a baseball club, this sounds like something which she could say to me, and I'm pretty sure that she isn't into me.

But well, like said, I'm often wrong about many things.

I'd have thought bullying in RL is a very great deal worse.

People who are bullied over the internet can very easily avoid it by never logging in.

It's difficult to see what laws could be implemented to prevent bullying by teenagers in real life, though. It really needs a firm policy from the schools to prevent it arising in the first place.

But that's very easy for me to say.

So people have to forgo their sources of entertainment because other people want to bully them? That's not fair.

Salty Mud - yeah, you're prolly gonna get some :D

If they don't want to forego their entertainment then they must learn to handle the bullying. It's all just a lot of text on a screen anyway. What difference does it make what the words say?

Go on, test me out. Try bullying me as forcefully as you can. See how I react. If I log off, in floods of tears, you'll know I'm upset.

Salty Mud - no, don't count your chickens. There could be loads of reasons why you might not. Women can be very strange cattle, indeed.
