The Empire of East Italy officially annexes Albania and Cyrenaica. With the annexation of Albania complete the empire will officially seal of the entrance to the Adriatic so no one can trade with Venice or that Hungry looking thing without paying a one way entrance fee of $30'000 per vessel, or you can get a discounted rate of $50'000 per vessel if you chose to pay the entrance and exit fees up front.

I just can't get over the fact that Demons are perhaps the most peace-loving faction in this game. Non Aggression pacts, trying to end WMDs, taking pride in assisting world peace...

You sure you are Demons and not ugly people with good intentions?

It might have something to do with the fact demon is actually a Greek word meaning anything that is not human nor god, with eudaemons being good and kekodaemons being evil. Ergo in the true sense of the word, it merely indicates one's species, not one's moral alignment.

Plus from an evil perspective, people who are dead cannot suffer. Ergo, war is inherently a bad idea - installing tyrants is much more fun!

Sorry but the sale of slaves isn't what it used to be, simply put we need the money. We have planes to create a oil pipeline from Cyrencia to Taranto, and since this project will call for boring under the mediterranean we will need all the assets we can get.

Speaking of the UN, it is possible for such a toll to be punished by a resolution that would close the UN's Mediterranean chokepoints to Italian trade, ruining their trade value.
