The Nameless Unit Workshop

I have taken a look at both the Mech Ghidora and Basic Ghidora.
(This almost made me believe the dragon dreadnaught was based on the mech one. )
Now about re-skinning.

Not possible for me to do. I did not make this unit. I do not have the programs to make units. If i say had the skeleton model that would not be a (or be less.. a lot less...) problem.. as you said, i would suspect i would simply take out all the armor and wrap it in gold scales.
however,
for me to do so by redrawing from this unit by deleting the armor by hand and then replacing the detail is quite a LOT of work (I am not a pro graphic artist... once i knew this guy who can draw robots for GameBoys though).

Currently I am only able to resize and add some "detail" of some sort and desire (or in other words i can only edit what is there to begin with; no conversions in overall unit transformation/make-over/details). Sorry, I can not help on what you requested.

That's OK - thanks for looking into it at least. I will use this unit as the mecha until I can get the real thing. As you said it is VERY similar. :)

Smaller version of Kinboat's Fanatic.

Resized FLCs, icon and unit32, and reconfigured INI is all this file contains.
(i searched in Kinboat's topic of the Fanatic and did not see Aluminum resize it. If he did i do apologise for the "double unit" distribution.)

HL and Plasma Tank edit.
I tried to add um... details to the death... make it less plain and give it a damaged-look effect. HL edit turned out more realistic and i did what i can for Plasma but it wasnt -exactly- what i had in mind at first (not so realistic or common to ones mind of what happens but i did what i thought is possible on it).

These contain files of the edited attack and death FLCs along with the original set. Pediaicons and Unit32 included.
For preview and info on these units please visit the unit's topic.

Hi nameless :)
Just wanted to say that I really appreciate you doing these modifications to make good units even better! :goodjob: keep it up! :D

the reason im doing some of the AOK units is because there was a suggestion to enlarge AOK units and i also recieved a letter asking to do so. I do hope enlarging them make it better dispite whatever distortions they might face. So far very little major ones ive seen and most ive caught.. or so i think.
thanks to everyone for the encouragement. I am only going to be doing a bit more (1-5 more *?*) before this "workshop" goes on standby mode.

First of all, thanks to Alu for taking the time to touch up and revive interest in this unit family and finally to Nameless for considering my, and I am sure, many other written requests to resize them.

These are looking great! :goodjob:

nameless - I took your lead & actually swapped some programs so that I use FLICster & PhotoShop, but led to the same results as you. Thanks for the info & help! - I used the technique to modify a unit in 5 ways to create the Sniper unit.

If you find yourself buried in requests or aren't sure how to modify a particular one, I would be willing to help out here and there. I'm working on 2 scenarios at the moment, but have a little time while I wait for others to finish specific parts of the creation - in a few weeks I could help even more. Drop me a pm, or post here (I'll check periodically) & let me know. Good job on the units thusfar :goodjob:

@CO,
accually, your the only one who mailed me about this. the rest came from i think goldflash's post in the bebro's resized chariots (not alu).

@sourboy,
you can do all the other AOK units to be resized. ive desided to stop here. (did plan to do 2 more atleast BUT found the 2 I wanted to do already in the RIGHT SIZE! horned knight and cho-ko-nu are matching size to knight and long bowman in respective.
I have one last unit to post and the shop will be put on standby.

Again, the unit about to be presented has NOT been tested in game.
I stress reporting errors and problems. Also, MAKE BACKUP copies ALWAYS.

Thanks nameless fo rthose fantastic improvements to Blue-O's and Bebro's units.

I especially love the lightning bolts from the dreadnaught.

as i have said earlier, Aluminum generously edited, centered, and resized the unit i had so much trouble with because of my lack of knowledge.
The unit is now fixed.
I have added a cheaply made pediaicon small and large.
unit32 was originally included.
attack animation fire was edted in the east view due to the fact you couldnt see it as well as other views.
sounds have been added and INI reconfigured.
some animations were increased but didnt reduce the "stiffness" dramaticly.
however the unit works GREAT and again... most importantly FIXED.
