The New Divine Intervention

Spoiler NFME :
Changes to be made for me: France has the most elegant and subtle UU, and I will give france an elegant and subtle boast I will road all the rough terrain in the capital BFC and any strategetic resources within 5 tiles of the capital.
Add horses nearby and put a Numian Cavalry with taht + 25% melee boast and an archer with a City Garrison 1 and 2 on it with a fort. Call it (Imprisoned Wind). If there are alerady horses nearby, do this except with explorers with max Guelleria and Ranger and put it on a wooded grass land hill (no fort) depending on what is best. Add a few barbarian panthers with Woodsman 1+2+3 on every continent near each civ. Barbs on horses are with city defense. (also, can you make it so that it gives 2 hammers when city-tilified?)

Story: Always have the mortals lived, perfering to bash each other with larger and larger sticks, then with stick holders and stones. And Terrances hated it. He hated the loud and crudness. So he decided to enlighten some peoples of a future. Of course, some went mad and wanted to destroy the light. However, the skills he wispered lead some to learn and prosper, like beacons of light within tribal villages.

He must free his stolen gifts... He needs a mortal.

Spoiler Quest :
Free my stolen gifts and raze their prison! Then, build a city upon them and name it in my honor.

No you don't.

Terrance, Yoshi and Grue called it before you. Wait your turn.... Though I'm glad everyone is chomping at the bit to start editing. This bodes well for the new DI series.

EDIT - By the way, Update 2 won't be up till next week, probably not till Monday night the Monday after next.

God's have lived since the dawn of man. Since the dawn of the species before them. Since...well...whatever dawned before that. The god's have been forever shaping the land that the current Persian Empire currently rest's upon.

DARIUS: Hmm...maybe if I used my middle finger to flip the coin
RED SPY: Please don't use your middle finger

Darius looked to the sky. It had begun to turn black

DARIUS: Do all you god's live up there?
RED SPY: Most of us. It looks like the sky will begin to rain. There must be conflict up there.

And he was right. For the King of all the God's was having a fight with the god Bel, ruler of the islands.

KING: Enough! I forbid you to exile cities onto islands!
BEL: Then I shall release my hoard of Demon's onto you!

The god Bel released 10 demon's from behind him. Each scarier than the last. All 10 of the demon's clinged onto the king.

KING: No...! If...if I exile your demon's...you will lose your power!
BEL: And where would you exile my demons?

With a cast of his hand, the king made all the demon's disappear from him

KING: I SENT THEM TO EARTH!
BEL: What???
KING: And now...you shall join them!

With a flash, Bel's head went blank.

He didn't know how long he had been sleeping, but Bel woke up on a beach. Deprived of all his memories, Bel stood up and wondered where he was. He had even forgot how to talk. He stumbled up and looked to his left. There, he saw the most magnificent city he ever remembered seeing (which isn't much).

PERSON: Welcome, to Corinth

Changes:
Spoiler :
An island has been formed west of Mosher's continent. There is a barbarian city on it named Corinth. The island is 3x3 size. Bel is the only unit on the city. He is a marine with all the promotions. (Relax, for the barbarians won't be travelling on the ocean unless someone makes them). There is also a bear nearby Mosher's capital called "Demon"

There are many kinds of gods who flit in and out of the mortal plane. Some see fit to merely sit back and observe. But others interfere to varying degrees, making an impact upon the world in which the humans live. Chilupotl was one of those gods.

Chilupotl was also a rather annoyed god at this point in time. He didn't know why some of the other gods felt that they could simply fool around with the ocean currents and expect nothing adverse to happen to the planet's delicate climate. Being one of the older nature gods, he knew with confidence that he, of course, was far wiser than they in such matters.

What ever may have happened in the sea to the west, the Western Current had been disrupted to curve north rather than to continue straight east as it had previously. A small portion of the wet season's monsoon weather had thus been cut off from the equatorial regions of the easternmost continent. But this small portion was nonetheless critical to the climatic stability of the area, and large swathes of old growth rainforest had withered and dried out, putting the ecology of the continent into dire jeopardy.

Chilupotl, thankfully, had intervened soon afterward, redirecting the continent's longest river from its course north, into the Zulu heartland, to the west through the rainforests, providing a much-needed increase in rainfall. This action had largely preserved the climate of the southern half of the continent, but, to Chilupotl's consternation, had perhaps worsened the situation in the northern half even further.

Thunder rolled like rocks off a cliff over the plains and hills of Zululand with each flap of Chilupotl's wings, as he hovered over the area in the guise of a flying serpent. Great sheets of rain beat down as the area as he desperately tried to halt the ever-quickening pace of the desertification of the scrubland. It took long weeks of work, but, eventually, the spread of the dunes had finally halted not far from the Zulu capital. Inevitably, though, the face of the region had been forever altered. Chilupotl could be thankful, at least, that no one had been killed. Taking a deep sigh, he looked down upon the continent to survey it.

He only had a moment's respite, however, until one of his messengers (in the form of a somewhat smaller flying serpent) appeared at his side. "My Lord!" the servant squeaked. Chilupotl glanced at him. "Yes? What is it?"

"We have discovered the cause of the change in the ocean's currents."

"Well, spit it out, then! What is it?" Chilupotl asked impatiently.

When the messenger had finished telling him, he frowned (as much as a non-human being can really have any expression). "Which of the gods is responsible for this?"

"Not one known to us, Lord," the smaller serpent shook his head. "But we know that he goes by the name 'Bel'."

Chilupotl snorted. "Then perhaps I need to have a chat with this 'Bel'," he stated indignantly, spreading his wings, and flapping off towards the west.

Spoiler NFME :
The change to the currents being, of course, Corinth's sudden appearance, which is bound to mess around with the climate of the region. :p I redirected the long river which used to run by Ulundi, and it now runs almost directly west, where there's a new, large river delta with a bunch of forests. North of the river is a new mountain range, which is causing a rain shadow effect, making the area to its west wetter, but making the interior a bit drier. A new river flows into the bay east of Ulundi, and in the bay north of Ulundi is a new large island with some clams near it.

Got it, also

Spoiler :
@ClimateChange: I think amount of wonders is a bad idea. Just do it over time.

The great curse had come. But Eriko could not tell the mortals, he would have to give that job to a bard. Unfortunately, the bard was on the other side of continent as Mosher, and the Lord of Silence’s Minions had destroyed Mosher’s maps.

So Eriko set the terms of the quest.

Spoiler for Quest (Mosher can look at this)
Spoiler :
-You must get The Bard to your capital city.
-He is defenceless, if he dies you will be punished. Look out for the wolves, they are agents of silence.
-If you do not want to do this quest, you must disband The Bard. You will receive no punishment or reward.

Not for Mosher’s Eyes:
Spoiler :
-Added The Bard, a Fast Worker with Navagation 1&2 and Morale.
-Blacked out Mosher’s map.
-Added a barbarian city called The City of Silence. It is on an island that is near Mosher’s continent but it is unreachable and made of mountains and tundra. It contains a hit musical and is connected to a fort with a great single. I also added lots of fish and a monument and some culture to the city to make it a decent city.
-Added wolves. Lots of wolves.

Sorry Terrance, I couldn’t do your edit, I have no time

Why... why was my sight taken away....

Edit - So I'll get my maps back if I get the bard to Persepolis?

Got It.

Spoiler NFME :
Yeah, amount of time works. Since so many of our changes should affect the climate, we can just pretend that it's actually the fault of us short-sighted Beings.

Edit:
Spoiler The Dream of Darius :
Darius found himself outside in the night. Above his head, the stars danced and twisted about the skies, whirling as if imbued with a new sense of purpose. Eventually, they slowed, and stopped. Darius could see easily that they had formed into patterns, lines and curls that were beyond his comprehension. He was suddenly possessed by a feverish desire to know what they meant, what message the heavens had spelled out above him.

‘Well,’ a glowing light appeared beside him, ‘Perhaps you should learn to read them. You never know what they might say. It could be Important, or it could not.’ Darius slowly lowered his head, turning to face the glow he stood next to. Before he could speak, it continued: ‘But there are other things that may prove more important. Plans have been made for a great Oracle, and much knowledge will come to the one who can create such a thing. But beware, it’s powers are great, to place 2 on one planet would be.... Unwise.’

And when Darius awoke, he went outside, and saw that the stars had indeed been rearranged. And he felt once more the burning need to know what message was written in the sky. And he felt, briefly, a great anxiety about what the future held.

Spoiler NFME :
Far to the North, where the sea was frozen solid, Talquash noticed the water was bubbling and boiling. And slowly, over the course of 1000s of years, he foresaw the rising of great mountains in the area. And he chuckled as he gazed upon it. Natural wonders Took many forms, but he had rarely seen one this unusual.
Spoiler For Changes :
-added Mountains in the Ice
-Added Message in the stars in the sea by persia
-changed 2 marble to stone and one stone to marble

Spoiler Quests :
Main Quest: Build the Oracle
Secondary Quest: Discover writing

Working his Will :mischief:

"Death... I require Death....". A low whisper repeats this through the high hours of the night. This was no prank, no little prankster. This was Omega himself, he will recieve want he wants from the mortals. After a while of doing this, he leaves a message to Darius:

"Stain one red where they value wealth over strength, for gold can not stop the strength of iron and bronze"

Spoiler Quest :
Kill 10 units throughout the next update. If you succed, Omega shall send troops for you to control for more destruction. Failure will mean bad things next turn. Also, raze a city built on Gold

Spoiler NFME :
Add a Barbarian city north on the gold (As directly on the gold) named Gonder. Add three archers in the city

I will certainly have a difficult time if I don't write them down.

Also, remember that I can reject any save I deem too apocalyptic, so show restraint if you punish me.

Well I hope that my bear is not considered apocalyptic :D

I'm here at my grandmothers, wishing I had my civ computer so I could start the update.

Are there anymore gods who wish to intervene, by the way?
