But I am suddenly terrified of Monty and Attila if they make it in.
Me too!

But I am suddenly terrified of Monty and Attila if they make it in.
Teddy's and Qin's are linked but that is a small sample size to state leader uniques and leader agenda are linked.

I wonder what bonus Cleopatra will have if her agenda is liking stronger and disliking weaker civs.
Better trade routes with civs that have more units ? Combat bonus against civs with fewer units ? Both ?

Monty Agenda: Cut out your still-beating heart

We do more or less know that China has the Great Wall improvement as one of their uniques - right? It was stated by Quill18 in his video a few weeks ago.
I'm betting it will be something tied to Diplomacy, kinda like Civ V Sweden. +10% [Global] Culture for each Declaration of Friendship or +5% combat strength for each Defensive Pact or something like that. While she rode on the coattails of powerful figures, she really wasn't much of anything herself.
This sounds amazing, and even better than what I was hoping for. The more things there are to make every civ unique, the better!
DLC-wise, it's always puzzled me why Firaxis doesn't create alternative leaders (and any unique items) for their civilizations. It's like optional, new hats in other games, lol. Having full civs as DLC isn't too cool (especially classics in the series, like SPAIN!), but alternate leaders are great and would still be quite popular.
Perhaps, Firaxis is setting up for this and coding things so that it's easier to swap in different leaders or to randomly assign a leader to a civ during random map creation.
The new design of the game also puts them in a great place since the modding bar has been raised pretty high now that leaders have a greater artistic style to them and buildings aren't just portraits hidden in a city screen with abilities, now they're fully modeled and visible. The same with wonders, especially with their beautiful animations upon completion. I imagine we'll probably see some wonder DLC packs too (I hope!) and maybe even building/resource packs.
It's ironic how the game is supposedly more moddable -- perhaps for balance mods and such, that may be true. But for new content mods, things like buildings and wonders aren't going to be as easy to create anymore (for most) at a quality near the existing game's; similar to things that have already been this way like animated leaders, units, improvements, and resources. Though, perhaps this new challenge will attract modelers from other games too.![]()
I imagine that her bonus might be something like "delegations cost +50% less gold in the ancient and classical era". This bonus would allow her to befriend other civs easier which compliments nicely with her agenda of liking more powerful civs. She can send more delegations to those powerful civs to more easily be their ally.

Another example could be the Persian leader (which I'm keen for Xerxes):
Agenda is doesn't like you having Allied citystates close to him
Unique ability: combat bonus vs city states
Maybe Egypt will get a UD : the Necropole with being a cross between faith, culture and hapiness !

Clarification on what? I think the way unique bonuses work for civs is pretty clear after the facebook Q&A.
Each civ gets 4 bonuses:
- 1 unique ability that works for the whole game
- 1 unique unit
- 1 unique infrastructure (tile improvement, building or district)
- 1 era specific leader ability (which can be a combo unique unit and unique ability)
