I preordered an received on 4th ... however Firaxis in their wisdom have decided to only release the DVD version in Australia ... uncomprehesible :shakehead:
I now have it and have a DVD player in my computer.
... hope your video card copes ... still it's a strange
and ... ummm ... incredulous marketing strategy ... the game was released in both versions ...
I wonder if it is elsewhere or only Australia where this scenario is repeated ...
I think this is a great game.
Looks brill. I am only playing on the easiest level now to learn all the features

. I haven't played much yet, but what I like best about Civ4 so far is the main menu
.

Ah yes, I found it a strange experiance in my first game to spend the whole time trusting and relying upon my neighbour to keep me from harm!Morten Blaabjerg said:Gameplay-wise, one other thing I noticed in particular, was that the AI didn't play as aggressively in my game as I'm used to from civ2. In earlier civ games, the AI would come at you for no reason, so you never knew when they were coming. In this game, you can actually trust the AI!![]()

They were blocking all other paths to other Civs, so I made best buds with them and no one declared war on me at all!Pentium IV 1.6GHz, GeForce 3 TI200, 512MB. Performance is nearly flawless (that is, no artefacts other than a few wonder movie glitches). The game feels a little sluggish. I suppose that's to be expected on a system that hovers between minimum and recommended. So far so good. Maybe I should get myself a new gizmo after all.Mercade said:Pre-ordered from play.com on October 20 for GBP 17.99 (EUR 26.54). Delivered today. Took a few days longer than getting it locally in the Netherlands, but it's about 40% cheaper and now at least I have the documentation in English. Installing as we speak.
